Just getting to the point where I don't join a party if I see an Elementalist.

Had the key glitch 3 times tonight, all 3 times I was hosting and playing my Keeper. Otherwise I hosted plenty of other games this evening but played melee classes. Just sayin', it might not be just the elementalist...

Yeah, you gotta give BioWare credit when it's due. No developer can screw up his own game like them <3. It would be a lack of respect to assume the source of their bugs could be tracked and narrowed down to a single character/player behaviour this easily.

at least on xbox one the bug has a 100% correlation to dogs/hyenas/wolves/mabari. It has nothing to do with any class. Every time a round contains those creatures you seem to have a 50% chance that one of them spawns outside the map.

Pretty much that. Dogs are the biggest problem I've encountered with getting the key glitch. Or Giants not disappearing after they've died.

For the record, I don't even use Firestorm on my Ellie, so don't freak if you see me.  :P

I also think it might be the dog enemies. They even move erratically compared to every other enemy out there and seem more prone to glitching and getting caught between objects (especially when a Fear spell is activated upon them).

The recent occurence of these key glitches have coincided with the new introduction of these enemies, so I don't believe it's the Elementalist that's really the source of the problem.

Solo=no lag. Try a duo with someone a few thousand miles away, two elementalists firestorming stuff.

Like someone else said earlier, I've had the key glitch on Ele solo runs aswell. And that has never happened with any other character. So even if you solo, this might happen. Or it is actually highly likely to happen if you happen to encounter any kind of canine creature and you use firestorm.

Mate, its the combination of the two. The canines rarely bug out with out some user spell doing something too them. You have probably, like everyone else encounter dogs that are halfway stuck inside a wall. Well, if you cast Firestorm anywhere in the vicinity, the chances are high that you will actually knock it further into the wall... even if its not inside the AOE of the spell.

I did actually encounter this problem yesterday while not playing with an Ele. It was quite weird, because we had a treasure room left, but I knew we had killed all the enemies still. While the other guys were opening the treasure room I was walking around where we met the wolfs that we encountered on that level, and I noticed that there was an invincible obstacle in my path. When the other guys came over to me I started firing at the spot and sure enough my arrows got stuck in the air.

Luckily we had a Necromancer in the team. What happened was that he first tried AOE fear where the wolf was, and it appeared just for a second. After that he tried walking bomb which actually detonated the wolf and killed it, and made the key drop. Unfortunatly I wasnt recording at the time.

Now, I've seen people fix the key bug this way before, but unfortunatly it doesnt always work. My experience is that if you get a visible immortal enemy, walking bomb doesnt work on it.

But atleast, if this happen to you, you might wanna try this before quitting. Unfortunatly I think walking bomb is the only spell that will kill the bugged enemy.
