Yeah I actually like him quite a bit for solos- but Glacier and AM III are musts.

My Geth was on white on purpose with cyclo 4, my Cerberus was on normal reactor on accident with adrenaline 3. (nobody joined)

Hell yeah, don't see BatSol mentioned next to TGI as a clutch kit very often, but he's such a bad mofo.

When I've had a bad couple of games, I grab the BatSol, Grenade Capacity V, a power amp and a decent weapon and just go to town.

 

You don't even really need to abuse incendiary ammo.  Toss two grenades and walk away...that's an entire spawn wiped on early Gold waves.  When you do combine him with something like the Reegar and Incendiary cheese...he makes the AIU and TGI almost look balanced by comparison.

Yeah, ditto that on Venom- any kit with Venom is pretty much automatically my crutch kit. Also, Drellguard. Also, Slasher.

I'm surprised no one mentioned GE: shield regen, stagger & CC, can be a good weapon platform thanks to HM, definitely meets BSN crutch standards.

Or just any kit except Volus with a Shuriken.

You are probably a much better player than me, but I've had a lot of success after I finally accepted Deerber's philosophy - the only time you are having problems with a drell is when you are not playing him aggressively enough...

Yeah, I agree.  Strong but not Godly in an average player's hands.

 

Based on switching back and forward between accounts with wildly differing equipment, I'd say the Geth Scanner is a bigger crutch than any actual character in the game.

Might be true, i did nt use any therm pack in the rio plat duo last time. We failed somewhere between w6 and nine.

All of them are crutch kits. Some are just better at killing than others, others are better at surviving than others, then you have the easy mode ones that do both well like the Geth Trooper.

I am wondering what are the "edging" kits?  The ones that are ALMOST right there at the crutch kit, but don't completely get the job done.

I'd say all infiltrators that are not TGI or AIU - TC can get you out of situations most kits struggle with.
