While all the trainer have their unique and funny personality, I gotta say, among 9 trainers, the Rift Mage's trainer, Your Trainer is my favorite.

Honestly I would not be surprised if Your Trainer is exactly like Cole, either that or the presence of rifts addled their mind beyond recognition. I tend to over play mages, so I haven't gotten to Skyhold yet with a Warrior or Rogue. However I also really loved the Knight Enchanter trainer. It cracks me up that she's a drill sergeant for mages. It reminds me of Myers from Magi, beating discipline and physical prowess into their charges heads. Only this trainer doesn't need to nearly kill you to build up you body's muscles because by then you've already trudged all over two countries at that point.
Lord Chancer - Champion Warrior Trainer - He calls out Chevaliers as "pricks" even though you are basically training as one, and constantly remarks "Its good to be Champion!"
Heir - Assassin Rogue Trainer - She won't even address you as an actual person until you make the murder knife.
Ser. He's all business and no nonsense.
"Its good to be Champion!"
This.
Plus the name Lord Chancer makes it seem like he's bluffing his role. He's just some random dude who picked up a sword from a corpse and called himself a champion. And that makes me love him more.
"What does this path involve?"
"Er... you need a banner. Yeah, that's it. A big, shiny banner. It's good to be champion!"

I just think it's really funny too because, role-play wise, Champion is the least-risk class, Templars have the price of lyrium addiction, Reavers are basically warrior blood mages, and Champions are just really good warriors. Yet Champ is arguable the most durable class, and is also the best dragon slayer.
also the best dragon slayer.
Warrior wise, 100% agree.
Your near immortality combined with To The Death makes you a dragon's worst nightmare.
I played rogue first, and went into the mage specialisation quests thinking 'this lot can't possibly be as fabulous a bunch of weirdos as the rogue trainers.' And then I met Your Trainer. She's my favourite so far, although I haven't met the warriors yet - looking forward to that for next game!
Mind you, she won't actually become My Trainer unless I manage to find the stuff I need during this run. Alas, the Venatori Tomes part of the quests bugged out on me. Currently hoping to get one from a random drop in the Hissing Wastes

I got a bunch of Venatori Tomes during In Your Heart Shall Burn while siding with Templar ![]()
Your Trainer was hilarious and I wish she'd stuck around.
Unfortunately, I had already settled on going KE and thus had to endure her snotty passing comments for the rest of the game: "Far be it for me to suggest a training adjustment." "Yes, well, guess what? I just got back from soloing a high dragon, so, no, I don't think I need a training adjustment, thanks."
None of them, they either belittle you or, are ditzes. Calling you a recruit, refusing to address you as a person, "repeating "I Am Your Trainer" over and over while talking in riddles..... Can't they just be normal, sensible, skilled people?
I like KE on my mage but I hate that the trainers hang around after you finish the quest - I want to thrash that chit, then toss her out of my sight for good fo being so disrespectful. The RM one, well, just plain addled and needs to be in a convent or asylum or something, or made tranquil so she'll make sense.

Alas, that didn't happen for me even though I also sided with the Templars. (My qunari mage is a complicated guy.) None dropped in the Western Approach, either, even though I killed every Venatori I saw.
Chancer, easy. He convinced me not to be a Templar, simply by telling me how good being champion is. And it so is.

Hmm....I went with RM and yet the KE trainer stuck around, oogling Viv all day long. I loved Your Trainer. ;_;

You need to go to the Exalted Plains. There is where the tomes are hardcoded to drop from the Venatori Rifts.

Unfortunately, they're bugged for me. Only two of them spawned. I checked several guides for their locations, and the guy at the bottom of the map just isn't where he's meant to be, or anywhere else in the zone as far as I can tell. I know I didn't kill one before getting the quest, as I didn't go anywhere near the Exalted Plains.

They are suppose to talk to your companions throughout the game instead of just stand there..... Although in my game it doesn't seem to work properly
danaduchy uploaded them all into a video if anyone is curious to listen to them..

You might need to start save scumming for a loot drop, it's what I did for the last tome. Save while they're in the distance, kill them, check the loot and reload as many times as necessary. It took me 8 reloads.
If you've already killed the official guys and Dorian's guys maybe the Hissing Wastes? I think one of the quests there is to stop the Ventatori.
