Give up any hope.
It doesn't contain multiplayer bollocks and as such it's worthless to this "modern" Bioware.

Baldur's Gate contained "multiplayer bollocks", you know. And BG2, NWN, IWD, Shattered Steel... The list goes on. Presumably all before your time.

If I correctly recall, EA has a rule to where all games that they publish from now on must contain multiplayer or some online element.

Given the state of Jade Empire's PC release on Steam, it would appear that any hope of further investment in Jade Empire is gone.
(If you don't happen to know, Jade Empire's Steam edition does not work when downloaded, and requires at least one of potentially many troubleshooting steps to get it functioning.)

GOG version works perfectly tho.
