it would likely activate. I really wouldn't care if it was just armor and weapons. Thats all, meh...

But I want the new character and new missions ASAP in case they have any early relevance. Even if it doesn't affect plot or ME3 decisions, because you might miss out on some dialogue or background info by gettign the stuff later. And I don't wanna take that chance. So I figure better to be safe than sorry

No, problems should not be expected. EA had the same problems with DA:O. That was several months ago. More than enough time to find a place that they could rent temporary servers from.

Same way Valve does. Profit from other methods of operation as well as kinda screwing people in the sense that, I mean. You are keeping them alive by buying ME2. Its not like we can hurt them without hurting ourselves.

Umm... NO!   DA:O was just as bad.   That was several months ago.  That should be more than enough time to find a data center with some extra bandwidth and fill out a requistion to rent extra servers for a day or two.

Mine refuses to time out, so I get the (incredibly attractive) "Please Wait" screen to look at until this is fixed.
