she was found dead after posting suicide note on her Tumblr, she was MTF/transgender person.

and what's worse, her mom is trying to remove that note from her Tumblr.

personally, as MTF person it feels not right for her parents to isolate her from world and not supporting her for her choices.

Stuff like this is sensitive stuff. Feeling you've been born into the wrong body and not being able to do anything about it is very frustrating. I just feel bad that he couldn't wait. Living day by day is a crap idea when this is your situation. Look at the big picture.

It's important to use appropriate language in discussion of trans* issues, even if it's a just a pronoun. 

And it's a tragedy that she felt she had no other options.  This news makes me sad.

I never knew Lazerprincess but the story is shocking nonetheless.

It's sad to know that LGBT's are still getting persecuted.

 

Good grief. Anyway, I don't want to start the new year yelling about how much I loathe those who pick on the LGBT.

Nice gesture but ultimately naive. Hate in any form will never completely disappear. Too much ignorance in the world for that.

Any loss of life is unfortunate, but how this person decided to kill themselves kind of dampens my sympathy for them.

 

Especially since they finish on a note about how messed up society is, and then they go out and do something like that. They've messed up that random person's life for a while now as they need to deal with just having killed somebody.

I googled it quickly, and apparently they killed themselves by stepping in front of a truck on the highway. The reasons for doing so had a lot to do with transgender and their mother saying that "you're wrong, god doesn't make mistakes" and basically doing everything she could to convince them that they were not a girl.

she killed herself because she couldn't live with her current life. her parents were Christian and were strict.

as you can see in her note, they stripped her of her phones and social media, grounded her. also isolating her from world for five months. it pretty much proved that her parents are unsupportive and does not care about her choices.

they're kinda forcing their choices on her which ultimately led to her committing suicide.

also, I knew her for short time many months ago when I first met her on Tumblr. she was very wonderful person, full of life.

Leaving your suicide note on the tumblr? How low can you go? He was an idiot. The only pity I feel is for his family and the poor driver of that truck just going about his job when some fool who thinks he'll be remembered for offing himself jumps into the road.

He doesn't deserve any pity for such a selfish act, excuses be damned.

For one, I can understand, on an academic level at least, how she came to her decision to commit suicide.

 

However, I also despise people who go and commit suicide by involving other people in any form, be it jumping in front of a vehicle or doing it in lively places (jumping of a bridge). That kind of stuff scars bystanders who happen to see it for life.

While I sympathise greatly with Leelah and think that her parents ought to be ashamed of themselves for driving her to this point, I can't help but feel the real victim here is the truck driver. Without intending to be callous, I have to say that involving another person in your suicide like that is an incredibly crappy and selfish act.

It's a shame that Leelah never got the help and support she needed in life. I just hope the truck drivers does.

I agree, being the driver seems...horrible.

He didn't deserve this at all I think. He didn't have anything to do with it.

Sure I read the tumblr post that but he lost my sympathy the moment he commited suicide by traumatizing another person like that.
