That's some sad **** that happened to Lazerprincess and the truck driver. Just goes to show that when you're cruel to people, you never know how far the pain will spread. I just hope it ends here, Lazerprincess's parents' cruelty has hurt enough people already.

My sympathies for the deceased and those who feel like they have no where to go where they can feel safe for being who they are without persecution, home is the one place you should be able to feel safe and she obviously never felt she had that.

I do feel terrible for the person driving the truck too. Hopefully they realize it wasn't their fault although that kind of thing is never easy for a caring individual to remember.

If I ever have a child I'd make damn sure home was the one place they feel comfortable like they can be themselves without having to worry about being hated for it.

I don't understand why she had to involve another person, though. That truck driver didn't deserve to have to do that.

Well, clearly this person wasn't exactly in their right state of mind. Hence the decision to commit suicide in the first place.

This kinda thing happens too much when deeply religious people have LGBT kids, they try & "cure" their children instead of accepting them & usually either push them to suicide or they end up breaking off all contact, sad really :?

Imagine the outrage had she gone on murderous rampage instead...

Well ya, being consistently bullied by your peers AND parents tends to do that.

Leaving your suicide note on the tumblr? How low can you go? He was an idiot. The only pity I feel is for his family and the poor driver of that truck just going about his job when some fool who thinks he'll be remembered for offing himself jumps into the road.

He doesn't deserve ant pity for a selfish act, excuses be damned.

Well, I suppose it's just another thing for the SJWs to cry about while the "toxic elements" call it what it is and maybe make some jokes about it.

Attention seeking is the chief reason why a lot of these mental defectives decide to off themselves in such a public manner or in even more extreme cases, decide to shoot up a school or some other venue. Their mindset is that in death and/or infamy they'll get the sympathy and recognition that they lacked in life.

This fellow didn't even have the dignity to off himself without bringing others into his deluded self-pity party. My sympathies go to the driver and the rest who had to partake or witness this.

What is going on!? Am I going crazy?

tumblr is being tumblr. Frankly I wouldn't be surprised if the entire article was falsified, as it's all about grabbing attention for one reason or another.

Call me what you will, but I don't buy it.

This is just a tragedy on every level.

And I feel sorry for her, her family and the driver.

The only thing I can say here for young LGTB folks who are going through the same thing is.

It does get better.

I hope everyone can realize that.

Yes.

I'm sure she offed herself because she wanted attention.

And you know...

Not the bullying from everybody and the total lack of acceptance and stuff. Cos that didn't happen at all.

Because she was thinking "I'm going to get a lot of likes for this" right before she died.

I'm sure.

I'll never understand how that mindset came into place regarding successful suicide.

Suicide ATTEMPTS on the other hand...

Some of the comments here are astounding and not in a good way. Yes, sympathies to the truck driver and his family but also to the girl that felt so down and dark that she felt her only way out was to take her own life in such a fashion. Yes, the truck driver didn't deserve to have someone jump in front of his truck and he'll no doubt carry a burden but he's alive. I hardly think his family will be irreparably scarred by the tragedy.

The fact that some ITT make a point of repeatedly referring to this Lazerprincess as "he" and using assorted derogative **** like "SJWs", "first world problems" and the like shows that we've still got a long way to go.

Is kinda depressing that so many people have come into this thread with a "lol i have no pity, the SJW just wanted attention" attitude, how can someone care about people giving them attention after they've already committed suicide?

I hate to be that guy but I really don't think this is a good time to express our political views on this subject. There is a time and a place to discuss it and in the wake of someone committing suicide is not that time and place. Just sayin'.

Suicide that involves scarring someone else for life, someone innocent, is pretty despicable actually, and entirely selfish. That's gonna be with that person now, forever. I have no sympathy now to be honest, more like disgust.

Has anyone here ever been suicidal before? And I'm not talking about maybe nicking your arm a bit with a razor when you were 15, I mean legit wanting to just end it all. To jump off the tallest building in town or blow your own brains out. That's one of the darkest places your mind can ever go and it is not something to just dismiss passingly as being selfish, attention-seeking, etc. especially when the person "succeeds." I guess it's easy to do when you're on the outside looking in but if you've been in the same place before you are a fool to judge.

Suicide isn't selfish, it's tragic, but scarring someone else entirely innocent FOR LIFE is disgustingly selfish.

Man when you're at your lowest point you don't care about that ****. You just hate life and hate the world and just wanna get out however you can. Hurting other people might even be part of your intentions. Again, you can look at it from the outside but unless you've been there you can never understand and shouldn't be so quick to judge.
