unlikely
furthermore, she'd still be all human since elf + human = human, not a half breed

Of course she COULD be but, it is more likely that she is of Chasind blood, not that a Chasind couldn't have some elf blood as well.
It's also theorized that she could be the daughter of Marric and Flemeth. Meaning she's Alistair's half sister, meaning if you made Alistair do the Dark Ritual...

Aren't Chasind dark-skinned? All the ones i met were, so she shouldn't be as pale if that's the case...

She could. There doesn't seem to be much reason to think she is.
Odds are that she's Chasind, whether she was kidnapped/adopted or is the biological daughter of Flemeth. And the Chasind don't appear to have elves among them.

She seems to pass as Chasind when people encounter her.

A Chasind human seems the most likely.
Just because she has an interest and so of in elven lore and artifacts, its more about the objects and the power then anything having to do with blood.
Remember humans are of the worse race and built everything from the bones of the elves.

Since an elf with a human lover have babies that look human......could Morrigan be half elf?My daughter brought this up and we are debating this very topic.....cool idea though! It would sit a little better for the Mythal scenario. Just wondering!
Good one, glad I thought of it.....lol! Hi mom ![]()

Am I the only one who read the title and assumed this would be a "Solas could be Morrigan's dad" theory? Because now I'm entertained as hell by the idea.
Yes, mom (DuVessa) and I were talking about that too.....since she may be half elf that could play into this! That would ruin Inquisitor Lavellan's hopes to have the Dread Lavellan baby though! lol sorry mom (duvessa)

Either Daveth or Jory say she looks chasind which doesn't rule elf out but I think it's unlikely.

Didn't I read somewhere that the timeline doesn't match her age......

They are elf blooded and "considered purely human." Considered being a key word....referenced by Dragon Age Wiki

Yeah, and we also know from the comics what Flemeth asked Marric to do while they were locked away together. Sex doesn't seem to have been involved.

Doesn't it read that it is elf-blooded and that it's "considered" purely human? I believe my daughter and I looked that up in Wiki......I'm just saying it's possible....Solas, Marric, chasind, an elf since we know of flemthal and who knows could be the father...lol!
It makes since that "humans" wouldn't want to recognize or acknowledge their family bloodlines being riddled or tainted with elf blood....elves are considered second class, so all remains human. Just a thought.

Well, Keiran seemed to come out alright. So there's at least that part of it.

Morrigan is either chasind or ferelden, Flemeth stole her when she was a baby and raised her as her own. Nothing in either game or DLC suggests otherwise. It may be possible that one of the birth parents of Morrigan was an elf but that doesn't really change anything.

It was said the timeline didn't match up. With that said nothing is impossible with Bioware! lol

I wouldn't be surprised and this isn't one of the craziest theories. The first time in the Dragon Age series we're ever introduced to Flemeth (DA: Stolen Throne) she had a Clan of Dalish working for her and they brought Maric and Loghain to her.
So it isn't inconceivable.

It may not "change" anything or be a deal breaker, but my original point was just to question the "maybe" of it! It would also fit in the Mythal scenario better because as a Dalish Inquisitor you can tell Morrigan at the Well, it's your birthright as an elf.....being she is human. So, if she was half elf, then she maybe a bit more entitled, yes? ![]()
