Father is probably a Chasind, she's probably pale from retaining most of her mother's genes. Hell, what ever Flemeth is her genes are strong, look at Kieran! He could be half dark elf and still be a pale human!
Could Morrigan be half elven?

It's not impossible, but I wouldn't like to see this be the case! lol
No Solas daddy for Morrigan! ewww
That's right bc if anyone is having the Dread baby it's Lavellan..lmao

Either Daveth or Jory say she looks chasind which doesn't rule elf out but I think it's unlikely.
Then why does Morrigan have eyes like Flemthal and look like how she is described in her youth?! Just a though!

Am I the only one who read the title and assumed this would be a "Solas could be Morrigan's dad" theory? Because now I'm entertained as hell by the idea.
On a related note am I the only one who went, 'Ohhh! That explains what happened to Morrigans Booooobies! That other Morrigan thread was asking about.'

It was said the timeline didn't match up. With that said nothing is impossible with Bioware! lol
But, we have answers for that now.
Time magic.
Oh, Bioware.. sneaky.

She always wants to look close to herself and chooses sperm donors accordingly? Because she's not just having a daughter she's planning out her future meat suit.
Though tbh I wouldn't be surprised if Flemyhtal doesn't do it all asari style.

Even if Flemeth is Mythal, she's been taking control of folks for ages to extend her life. So Morrigan could well be elven by "lineage", if not by genetics. Flemeth's relationship with Kieran is less clear-cut. Did the old god have an effect on his appearance when he was developing, maybe? Or are human alleles more dominant than elven ones?

It's also theorized that she could be the daughter of Marric and Flemeth. Meaning she's Alistair's half sister, meaning if you made Alistair do the Dark Ritual...
Lordy, it's Arthur and Morgaine all over again. Thank heaven this is all highly speculative.

That's pretty much it though. Alistair and Morrigan being half siblings would certainly be a reference to the Arthurian Legends. Not to mention the Silent Grove story line which establishes the Theirin line as one that has dragon's blood flowing down the line. Pendragon, son of a dragon vs Son of a king who drank the blood of a great dragon.

Hm. Morrigan and Alistair being half-siblings. That's a very interesting thought.
Utterly derails my plans to make the joke:
"I don't know about being half elven, but she's definitely a quarter Krogan!"
See? Falls completely flat now.

Would be a neat story for a novel, Morrigan traveling with Kieran and meeting her father.

I love this idea! I also would like to meet the Lavellan clan, it was weird we didn't even get a visitor. ![]()

Morrigan is either chasind or ferelden, Flemeth stole her when she was a baby and raised her as her own. Nothing in either game or DLC suggests otherwise. It may be possible that one of the birth parents of Morrigan was an elf but that doesn't really change anything.
Um the chasind ARE fereldans, they are just southern fereldans
all of them are descendants from the alamarri tribes, but the chasind stick with the old traditions
I also think Morrigan is Flemeth's biological daughter. They have the same eyes.

I've never doubted that, the question for me has always been who is Morrigan's father? Unless Flemeth used a stasis spell on a vial of baby gravy and did some *coughs* "turkey basting" *clears throat* It's very unlikely that Morrigan is Maric's daughter.
Flemeth hardly seems the type to pick anyone at random to help sire a child. Either someone of purpose or talent, or maybe as an Elven goddess she can create life with out any help from a man.
Maybe Morrigan is a "magic" clone of Flemeth!

She could be, but I rather doubt it. BioWare is really fond of Thedas humans appropriating bits and pieces of elven culture, technology, magic and lore, and then using it better than the elves themselves do (despite having little interest in the elves or elven culture themselves), thereby showing how humans are superior to elves in every way.
Like in Witch Hunt, where human mage Finn effortlessly figures out that the Dalish item Morrigan is searching for is an Eluvian, that "Eluvian" is an elven word that means mirror, and guesses which ruins to find it in; despite how he is a sheltered Chantry mage who only picked it up from glossing random Chantry Circle library books, and Arriane (the Dalish elf whose clan Morrigan stole from) had no idea despite how her people dedicate their whole existence to uncovering ancient elven artifacts. Her flabbergasted reaction to a human Circle mage effortlessly guessing the meaning to a word her own people know nothing about was a not-so-subtle "Take that, Dalish!" from the writers.
Or Morrigan managing to safely and successfully activate the Eluvian and the narrative treating it as no big deal, while Merrill in DA2 also trying to activate an Eluvian is treated as a poor foolish child messing with powers beyond her control. I see that when a human tries to activate an Eluvian, she knows what she's doing. When an elf tries to activate her own people's technology, she's messing with powers too great for her to understand.

Speaking about alleles in a fantasy game to explain ancient magic................sounds a little strange.
