DA:I has a very poor UI and tactical for the PC, yet we were told its written for the PC......
When I play a video game, not reality, I don't want to see bi and gay almost in my face, about sex sex sex. Having some romance optons are fine but with DA:I, its over the top. Back during those times, not today, everyone was not bi and gay and parading it almost in your face. If I want that much variety of sex, try something called porn and there are porn video games and go crazy.
DAO didn't use the best graphics at that time and sure it had bugs like all games but what it did have were:
- excellent storyline
- excellent plots
- excellent sub quests
- you can talk to NPC's and your party characters
- you can buy gifts and romance someone
- your choices in the game did matter
- not linear
- huge game
- properly optimzed for PC and console controllers
- really good music to get you into the game scenes and plots
- romance tastefully done, not bi, gay, blatent and being hetero is almost a no no
- very addictive, play it over many times and love it
- excellent long ending
- even had Witch Hunt to continue DAO to DA2........
- wasn't a hack and slasher
- complex skills trees and inventories
- not dumbed down and simplifed
DAO had much going for it and could of been even better using the engine for DA2.....but as DAO2.....could of called this game "Dragon Age: The Eluvian Gate".
