Ah, Sky Watcher. Solas also has an interesting conversation with her in one of their banters:

 Vivienne: So, an apostate?

Solas: That is correct, Enchanter. I did not train in your Circle.

Vivienne: Well, dear, I hope you can take care of yourself, should we encounter anything outside your experience.

Solas: I will try, in my own fumbling way, to learn from how you helped seal the rifts at Haven.  Ah, wait. My memory misleads me. You were not there

She struck me as the sort of person who always spends time on Wikipedia as source of information and what's in there is holy. But actually her knowledge is quite limited.

Using darling in this thread is just cruel.

The funny thing is I like to hate her lol, if that makes sense.

Hahaha, that's pretty funny. Of course, the inability of firing her after that makes it less so, but still.

I could think of many good answers to that but the writers just wanted to make Vivienne appear oh so ''eloquent'' so they silenced the Inquisitor in that scene. Pathetic.

Aaaand that is my biggest problem with her character too. In a way, she's the anti-Sera: there are many ways to confront Sera (even if she just doesn't listen) and you can kick her out from the very beginning, but the same is not true with Vivienne. And that's a problem. The only thing you can do to destroy her career would be to have Celene killed, put Leliana as Divine, and make sure that Templars, Seekers and Circles are disbanded forever. And even then I'm sure she'll manage to find a way to endure.

I love her character, but I agree that player agency is lacking. Especially since most of my Inquisitors don't love her so much. Oh, well, we can all write down an "Inquisitor Greatly Disapproves" in a piece of paper every time she chooses the "wrong" dialogue option. NPCs can't have that feature only for them, can they?

Besides Vivienne, it's Indira Varma that wins me over. I've only seen her on TV a few times. She was really meek and tragic in Rome. Here, she's the opposite.

She's definitely a very different character on Rome. But even Niobe had her moments.

On a side note...I would perform a blood magic ritual to get Kevin McKidd to voice a character in a Dragon Age game.

You should bring her -and- Dorian, their verbal fencing is amazing. XD
Either Varric or the inquisitor says they should sell tickets after one of their matches.

Wait, she can redecorate Skyhold? How come I never noticed this....?

...well, probably because the Skyhold "customization" is a joke, but surely I should notice if she changes the decoration... hmmm.

Only if she hates you enough.

I like her, she is manipulative and a control freak, but she is very well written.

Awww I'll probably never get that dialogue since Viv seems to like my Inquisitor every play through.  I usually play pretty pro-mage, and she still likes me.

I dunno, I kinda love how catty she is there.  Seems to me she was testing to see how easily she could get under your skin by being petty.  Looks like it worked.  I can't help it, I love the bitchiness.  I also giggle any time Morrigan is snippy.

Just finished a run through where I thought I was setting up Leliana as Divine, but somehow Vivienne managed wrangle it for herself. She's a force of nature.

(I'm actually pretty annoyed about it. She's one of my favorites, but I do not agree with her politically at all.)

Also, with the righ build Vivienne can be your tank, no joke.

Or, look it up on youtube I suppose.

Seriously though, don't miss it.

There is mission on the war table which appears after talking with Vivienne about who should become divine. If you tell to her face that either Leliana or Cassandra should become divine then the mission doesn't appear. If you say anything else the mission will appear and if you finish it Vivienne will become. It locks her for the divine. Either tell her you have Leliana or Cassandra in mind or don't send an agent to finish that mission.

I know Vivienne's punishment. I gave her Orlesian battlemage coat aka the ugliest mage robes that looks the same on every mage. Now she is following me around looking ugly. HAHAHAHAHA

Mmmm I think I always got her war table mission even when I told her I wanted Cass on the throne.

You should watch some Urusei Yatsura to get back on track. Lum says `darling´ even in japanese.

My inquisitor was friends with Viv, and while characters being able to lie is one of my favourite aspects in Dragon Age, I'd be surprised and saddened if she turns out to be actually uncaring. Maybe not disappointed exactly, but I don't think so at this point. In my game she seemed thoughtful, just with some quirks.

Being in bad terms with her sounds hilarious though, and maybe I should try it some time. It's just hard for me to try to act unreasonably to companions unless they come off as unreasonable and cold themselves (otherwise the protagonist turns too unpleasant to continue)... Maybe I could manage to make someone so pro-Cassandra they honestly see Vivienne as a rival. Rivalry can make a good storyline.

I am really disappointed with Bioware for putting a "punch Solas" option and not a "punch Vivienne". The spot after she rearranges your furniture and then tells you to "be a dear and run along" would be perfect. I mean, she does claim she wanted to see what I'd do and what my limits are, doesn't she?

I never understood people crying about not being able to kick a character ,  they could choose to NOT recruit  at all, out , mind boggling.

I dont think i have ever gotten the Vivienne divine mission once at my war table in any of my playthroughs and we've always had great relationship. I did tell i was going to root for Cassandra everytime however so that might have done the trick.

Do you know that when you recruit character you have only little knowledge about character and later you may decide if you like or dislike character.
