It would be interesting to have a non-human female LI for a non-human male player. This needed to be edited.

Only if that means Cassandra is gay in this alternate universe you're building.

I actually get the Josie bit.

That's a legitimate concern that's never addressed.

As heir to her noble house, she works tirelessly to maintain the standing of her family. Due to loyality, responsibility, and wisdom of knowing that her siblings aren't up to the task. So why would she jeopardize that with a female partner, which can't produce an heir, (the bummer of being "noble.")

Eh...you have responsibility as a noble.

It comes before sexuality.

It's expected.

That's actually from a codex in game.

Half of the threads on BSN are about that, lol.

Cassandra should've had a twin sister.  Because Quantity=Quality.

You know, actually I think I do see this point as well. A bit.

And if you're playing an elven male, it does suck that you NEVER get any female elf options. Not unless you're gay and playing Origins.

Yes, but there's a difference between "a bisexual woman marrying a man" and a heterosexual.

Even if she limited herself to guys for political reasons, she'd still be bisexual.

Josie... mkay. I can understand your reasoning, but just because she'd feel obliged to produce an heir doesn't mean she can't like girls. (It isn't a party until someone's small clothes are pinned to the chantry board, according to Leliana's account of getting to know Josie.)

As for Sera... she just likes women. The taller the better. Qunari women... woof. Respect her sexuality. Respect the sexual preference of this fictional character! :P

Do you tell a lesbian lady in real life she should like men as well? Because reasons? Because it doesn't fit with your ideal picture and possible chances of getting laid? I don't figure you would. So why critique the writer behind Sera?

You can wish, of course. Which could be perceived as a compliment. If you mean it flatteringly, then flatter.

Leliana's writer actually confirmed she never 'got to know' Josephine in that way, so that line doesn't mean what you thought it meant. Just sayin'.

Don't disagree with the point though.

Josephine is the administrator for her noble house because she is the oldest child and has not become the head of the household currently. That does not mean that she bears the responsibility for bearing in an heir for her household. She has several brothers and sister.

It is even entirely possible that one of her brothers is already married, possibly with children. Remember her parents only arranged the marriage because she has not found a marriage partner yet, not because there was some pressing need to continue the bloodline.

Well, yeah. But OP said Josie should know better than to be bisexual, because of "loyalty/responsibility/wisdom" to her family.

That makes no sense.

Well normally, I'd agree, OP, but this is the DA universe, and the rule is if a character is friendly with Leliana then sex will inevitably be involved and females who are not lesbians go bi.

Because Leliana enjoys sex. Sex with men. Sex with women... uh... what were we talking about?

While you're at it, why not Dorian made straight? He is upper class with a status to protect and a legacy to continue. He can't do that gay. Or maybe try not to think too hard and let them be who are are made to be.
