I was originally gonna make this thread about fight scenes specifically but I thought I'd expand it a bit to include other types of scenes like car chases, stunts, and just general badassery.
So anyway, what are your favorite action scenes in movies, TV shows, and video games? I'll start:
This is one of the most intense shootouts in film history IMHO. You should probably watch the whole film to get a complete picture of what's going on here (it's more than just a random shootout) but it's still edge-of-your-seat stuff regardless.
My favorite chase scene from the best Terminator movie. They just don't make 'em like this anymore, as most car chases are CGI now I think.
...and this is just bad ass. A whole lot of buildup to this moment and The Warden/Alistair/Loghain just unleashes all their rage on the damn thing with that final blow. Awesome stuff.

I don't care what the setting is, or what the style of movie it is. There is no excuse for the breaking of almost every single law of physics!
Not to mention that if Cloud's sword actually collided with Sephiroth's excessively large katana Sephiroth's excessively large katana would break into pieces.
It would be prohibitive to link my favourite action scene, because it is too long.
I was a die-hard refuser when it came to the Matrix sequels, as I was adamant that they could only ruin the story as told in the first. I came to change my mind, and love them almost as much as the original.
Anyway, in The Matrix Reloaded, at the Devil's mansion, there is an action sequence that begins, and continues, without any real stops or pauses, for nearly twenty-five minutes. The Merovingian orders an attack on Morpheus, Trinity, and Neo, which begins a sequence that leads directly to a highway chase involving four different factions (the civilian police, the Agents, Satan's demons Agony and Ecstasy, and the Free Humans.) That sequence, and its ability to sustain tension for so long, still amazes me (although to accommodate it, unfortunately, there are some weak scenes that directly follow, because they didn't have time to properly explain the power plant mission.)

LOTR - Charge at the Black Gate

The Hobbit: UE - when Gandalf comes and they escape Goblin Town.
The Hobbit: BOTFA - when Thorin charges from the gates. The only equal to the charge of Rohan.
Star Wars, Anakin vs Obi-wan was just a ridiculous duel by just how much awesome is happening xD
Then it's any time Gintoki gets BADASS in Gintama
Cool anime fights that are well animated are just the best.

LUST VS COLONEL MUSTANG! - Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood.
Louis Armstrong when he gets "his shoulder back" and proceeds to kick Sloth's ass - Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood.
When everybody is fighting against Father - Fullmetal Alchemsit: Bortherhood. I just love it since it's EVERYONE, not just some op Main Protag. Reminds me of LOTR.
Not necessarily action, but when Hohenheim just outright says f*ck you to Father with his countermeasure
Samurai Champloo- probably 80% of the fights.
Naruto has some kickass fights as well, like Sakura vs Sasori
Yeah, that Cloud vs Sephiroth fight is about the only reason to watch the movie. Especially the soundtrack of SEPHIROTH.

I suppose Thane vs Asian Dude in their Kung Fu battle. It was dumb for some reasons, but it was still awesome.
The entire suicide mission of ME2 was just pure unadulterated awesome.
Dunno what else, I can't recall much... speaking of which, I hope Akihiko does something kickass at the end of PE3.
Now for manga...
Only this stands above all else...
