Vic Mackey is one of the best characters that has ever graced television. Ever... Of all time.

Without a doubt. Mackey, Tony Soprano, Walter White and Jack Bauer. Those are the best leading men and characters I have ever watched in dramatic television.

But for me, Vic is the best. Raw, emotional, violent, loving, crazy , and physically brutal. What Micheal Chiklis did with Vic Mackey was AMAZING.

Chiklis is only 5'7'. But I swear, he made Vic Mackey seem like a Giant and man amongst boys.

And.....  There has NEVER. EVER, been a better rivalry and chemistry in the history of TV, that there was Withe Forest Whitiker and Micheal Chiklis.

If the Shield was on today, with all the social media and facebook hype and frenzy, it would make Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones look like child's play.

The Shield is, in my opinion, the greatest TV show ever made. That Show is amazing. There has never been a tv show, not even The Wire or The Soprano's, to come close to The Shield's the greatness.

Strangers With Candy

Probably not on Netflix, and maybe just do a few episodes at a time, but it's a classic (and oft overlooked) part of TV history.

The British Sherlock. On Netflix and there's three seasons, each season only three episodes long (but an hour and a half each episode).

Cumberbatch (Sherlock) and Freeman (Watson) have insanely hilarious and enjoyable chemistry. And since each episode is basically a movie, they are perfect for stringing an entire season together.

Also, compared to Firefly, Farscape has aged very, very poorly. I quit after the first episode.

Breaking Bad and House of Cards for sure.

In fact I think season 3 of HoC is coming out this month actually so now would be a great time to watch it.

I regularily marathon pretty much any new anime I watch. Well, maybe not an entire 20+ episodes from beginning to end, but watching 8-10 episodes in one streak, maybe a couple small pauses in between, is nothing unusual for me.

I remember going through some anime show years ago. Back in the day Youtube was literally filled with anime episode and I remember watching the whole death note+ Bleach in one sitting . When I got out of my computer room it was normally to either poop or get junk food. Ah those were the day lol. I was like a city Hermit

I don't do marathons but I can suggest great shows that are on Netflix:

Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Angel (My favorite series ever)

Weeds (1st three seasons)

Heroes (1st season)

Alias (Probably the easiest to get into, even though it is a La Femme Nikita rip-off)

Love/Hate (Not as good as watching it on tv due to the music being different)

Having looked at the OP and nothing after that...

Given your list of other shows you enjoyed, I would recommend Eureka or Warehouse 13. Both are enjoyable, light-hearted sci-fi series.

If your looking for something with a little more drama, try Vikings, Game of Thrones, or House of Cards.

I always hesitate to recommend Spartacus: Blood and Sand as it's very Gratuitous... both in Violence and Sex but if those things don't bother you then it's Phenomenal! Easily in my top 5 TV series of all time.

Oh yeah, Penny Dreadful is pretty cool tbh

I have you to blame for binge watching that show! (Not really).

I had been meaning to watch it for quite some time now, but never got around to it. I'm starting to regret I did only because I wish the rest of the seasons had premiered.

I suppose I'll take a look at some of the other shows in this thread eventually.

Veronica Mars. The story is great with neo-noir elements and the wit in the dialogue is top notch
