I hope they focus on single player, I'd rathe rsee greta story then slight improvements to an okay but never-going-to-be amazing MP mode.

I hope to god not, but I can feel the harsh reality that you're right... It hurts...

They'll probably handle it like they did ME 3. They showed that they didn't forget about singleplayer with DLCs like Citadel but they need to tackle the bugs, lack of tactics, and such in SP first imo before focusing on anymore content

The best way they could help this game in general would be to 86 MP and focus all that money, man power, and time into the SP aspect of the game.

I have played the Reaver a lot, which is by far my favorite class in the MP. I tried out different abilities with her after promoting her several times and the one that seems to work for me is to rely on Rampage for the sustain when fighting. Sure you have Devour, but that is not the only heal you have due to rampage healing 10% of your hp with each hit. I just do not like Dragon's Rage since I have to uncomfortably move my finger up to activate it on my keyboard. The most annoying thing so far is that Rampage sometimes gets bugged where it no longer heals me, which is a huge issue when I am relying on it to keep me in the fight.

 

I agree that we need more maps, but knowing BioWare's track record with Mass Effect 3 multiplayer, those are most definitely on the way. I would personally like to have more enemy factions to battle. Darkspawn with Genlocks, Alpha Genlocks, along with the Hurlocks, as well as the Shreiks and Emissaries. The faction leader for the Darkspawn could be a Brood Mother, or maybe a Disciple Darkspawn. I would also like to have Dragons be a faction as well, with the Drakes actually being there, not just Dragonlings. To couple with the Dragon faction could be Dragon worshippers.

 

Hopefully the next patch has the fix for the atrociously annoying key issue. Having put time and effort into a round, only to be smacked in the face by having a progression break issue that prevents you from progressing into the experience is frustrating. The only fix right now is that the host has to leave the game to reset the round, but that is a terrible solution because it causes players to immediately kick the host out if the leader does not leave themselves, which is rather toxic to do.

MP is a huge profit to Bioware, so I doubt that they'll "86" MP. Also I'm sure they're more concerned about SP than MP. Then again their income from MP is a lot from all the comments I've heard and read.

Yeah will it's EA only thinking about the bottom line that's the main reason for low quality games like ME3 and even DAI isn't as good as it could have been if they hadn't thought ME3 MP v2.0 was a good idea and used those resources on the SP.

Oh god. First of all, MP resources are different than SP resources. It's been discussed so many times before in different threads that I won't go into it.

Second, ME3 wasn't a "low quality" game. Everything leading up to the ending was really well done. Yes, people were very vocal about the ending. But just because you can scream louder about something doesn't mean more people are screaming about it.

Whatever though. I'm so done with the "ME3 SUCKS (but only because of ending..)!!" conversations.

I agree a lot of games aren't as good as they should've been. ME3 I have no comment. Honestly I don't see much progression to MP, unfortunately.

I would simply be satisfied with being able to play more games in an hour than ones that stick, host-migrate, no key, lost all treasures and xp, and not joining a group to be stuck watching the group head to next gate only to be stuck there as well.

My only real complaints on the MP is rubber banding and wanting to turn off the repeating character banter it was amusing the first 2 play throughs now it's extremely annoying, otherwise I enjoy it mostly play as a Mage just miss my heal dots I really hate spamming Barrier all the time.

I agree for most of the improvements list, except for the "Balancing MP" part. A bowman has to take an arrow before being able to shoot it, I found really great they made it, feels more realistic and immersive.

I probably wasn't very clear, but it'd be best if the archers were able to move at run speed while drawing the bow. It's irritating reloading and moving at the slowed speed of aiming.

would like more gold from chests also. doesnt seem efficient to go out of my way to a door, wait for others to get there, open a chest for it to be blocked by magic, kill an arcane horror, then get 30-40 gold. lame.

I enjoy this multiplayer and since I started playing been doing those weekend events but starting to play less and less because there's no real reward. I wish they would attach achievements with these challenges for xbox one. That would keep me playing every week like other games with weekly challenges! I know they said they will not be doing them but it would be so good and I hope they reconsider to keep the xbox players coming back each week.

They could also add another location - like an abandoned mine off the stormy coast.

Also, I can picture a frosty/storm Mage with access to wall of ice. I'd totally rock that spell. There are a ton of choke points in MP.

I'm enjoying the multiplayer a alot, but i have some major issues and other stuff that can be improved.

I only play on PC so...

...all these suggestions are for the PC version.

Sorry for bad english in advance.

 

1. Missing Keys, why does that even happen?.

- There sometimes happened to be a single dead npc still standing there, immobile, after the area has been cleared. He was visible for the whole party and we could attack him but he wouldn't die.

 

2. Too small hitboxes for vases.

 

3. The loot of treasure chests is too low. I often experienced that people just skip these events, because it was just not worth the time.

- There should be a object (no potions) and gold in every chest.

- More gold from the chest. Because at the moment its only 2.5x more than you get from a regular vase. And maybe make the vases drop less in return, so it would be much more important to get the treasure chests to get the gold you need. This would also increese the need for a balanced party.

 

4. Improved or different chests to buy at the shop.

- My issue here is i get more potions, from the current chests, than i will ever use. So i'd like to have a extra weapons chest, upgrades chest, eccessoires chest, offensive and defensive potions chest.

 

5. Why are the "healing mist" potions (not sure if thats the correct name) so f*ing rare? And why can't i get them from the healing potion chest? Also the AOE of these should be increase imho.

 

6. Make armor salvageable.

 

7. Trying to retreat while tanking multiple enemies so i dont get surrounded? Impossible without getting killed or at least severely insured.

- I want to be able to move backwards while holding right mouse button. At least make this optional, please.

 

8. Dodging skills (those who don't do damage) should not be a skill and on a separate button (E would be perfect if you change the movement keys).

 

9. The target should automaticaly change, when you walk away from a (living) NPC you previously attacked, to the one the charackter is facing when i try to attack (with LMB or a skill), while holding RMB.

My charackter kept turning around and hitting thin air in situations like that. I know i could have used tab to change target, but i have the player chart on tab. I never had to use change target before and i'm 80hrs in multiplayer.

 

10. You should be able to walk while viewing the player chart (standard V button)

 

11. I'm strongly missing a textchat as NO ONE is using voicechat on PC. there seems to be plenty of space in the lobby aswell as in game for it.

 

12. I feel like there are missing some sounds in the lobby e.g. when everyone is ready except you. When the time is ticking before the game starts. And when you or another player gets a red skull (in game too).

 

13. The maximum range of how far you can place skills like firewall should be increased. E.g. in some situations i can hit enemies with my staff but when i want to use a skill i have to walk like 10m to be able to reach the enemy with the skill.

 

14. The Demon commander, when he uses his popup attack - The time between the indicator and the time he hops up is way too short.

It's nearly impossible to dodge it when you see it. Walking off is completely impossible especially when the attack animation is still running.

 

15. Matchmaking is kind of BS. I constantly get thrown in games with horrible rubberbanding and huge lag.

- The game should tell people when they have a shitty bandwith and they shouldn't host a game.

 

16. When i want to join a game via quickmatch and somehow the connection fails, i get a loading screen the game freaking saves even before that and i get thrown back to multiplayer menue. I have to wait for f*ing ever just to try to connect again. And if then connecting fails again, the whole procedure repeats! omg, no. OMFG, this is so unnecessary! Please change this.

#13 I think Mages are powerful enough as is, on top of being super versatile. If all the melee classes have to go up closer just to hit, imagine how devastating that would be.

Thats why i suggested that if you hold down right mouse button, you'd be able to walk backwards without the charackter turning around.

I'm just saying for the sake of redundancy, and I don't see much potential. 
#3 What you're asking is to make players have all classes in a party, which is what they're trying to encourage with sealed passages. Although not as easy as it should come, because it's a match making and there's little effort into communication. The only time I see players skip those doors are when they're just farming for experience in game. Most times everyone wants to get through those doors in my experience. Would be nice if they gave chests more rewards though, because as you said it is only about 2.5x as much as a vase.

#7 You can lock onto an enemy and it'll let you face towards them while moving backwards. It would be nice if they implemented a mode where you can just move back without having to turn your back without locking on to an enemy.

#13 Sorry, I disagree with your comment on spells needing more cast range. They're already dealing damage from the back, so it's only fair if they pick up some slack and do something about it; in this case walking up a few feet.

Yeah, i keep trying hitting enemies that run away or just pass by. Because they totally ignore my tank and just run to the archers and mage behind me. Never played a tank that really drives the attention if I don't use special skills for that. Pretty strange, yeah.

Oh, and about hitting an enemy in movement with a melee weapon, just forget about it : You never hit.

Thanks for doing so. Don't forget to link the resources as you post them. Unfortunately I'm giving up on this thread. If Bioware hasn't made any replies as of yet, I doubt we'll be looking forward to a decent MP. After 3 weekly events, and no bug fix updates I'm gonna forget this game and play something else for a while then come back sometime much later...
