I loved crestwood, to see that you could actually help people and see how your actions actively change the town it was really good. I also liked the winter palace had a good mix of everything.

I honestly thought I could improve the fallow mire or do something good, like settle there or something, maybe help build it up as a town and see people migrate there and build it up, but i got nothing, felt like a wasted area. I was a little disappointed.

I just disliked that place the most.

I definitely think Crestwood and the Fallow Mire are better 'levels' - as others have said the quests are tight enough that you don't feel that you are wandering aimlessly, or backtracking to finish the entire level.  A lot of the other levels feel endless (Hissing Wastes) or slog-fests (Exalted Plains) and even Emprise Du Lion sort of feels that way.  And really, when you have enough power, some of them feel pointless to run through.

In terms of prettiness - Emerald Graves is gorgeous.  And Emprise Du Lion, without the red lyrium.

Crestwood, Fallow Mire and Emerald Graves and EDL for the stories, fo layout I like Hinterlands, Emerald Graces and Fallow Mire. EDL is horrid to navigate, the  Fobidden oasis and Western Approach. Hissing wastes is fairly dull but, great for resources and, fits the overall story of the place.

Fave: rainy Crestwood, Hissing Wastes.

Worst: Storm Coast, I hate hate hate it with a passion. Empty and grey even though I like the rain and water effects. Always feels super tedious and the buggy routing in the caves... oh my god. And the endless spindleweed. There's just no winning on this zone.

My favorite area is Emprise du Lion (because three tough high dragons is better than one).

My least favorite is Arbor Wilds (because I really wanted to spend more time there and couldn't).

I also love hissing waste s for a couple reasons.

Navigation. I hate hate HATE have to run around for 10 minutes to find some small path up a mountain to get to something I saw, and the by the time I find it I've forgotten why I wanted up there. Hissing, I see it, I go there. Nice

One of the main reasons I dislike the hinterlands. I don't mind the quests but I HATE trying to get anywhere. Storm coast has a similar problem. I hate jumping up the stupid step like rocks.

Other reason I love HW is dwarves.

I dislike any area that has rocks in the water that you can't see so you just stop running and don't even know why and now you have to jump your way through, Ala Black Fens

I won't say "Best" or "worst", but favorite and least favorite.

Favorite: The Western Approach.  I just loved the music and scenery.  LOL.

Least Favorite: The Fallow Mire.  Just swamp.  Nothing really special about it.  Save the ghosts and zombies.  If I wanted to show people how beautiful the environments are in this game, this would be the last one I showed them.

Emerald Graves, Hissing Wastes, Storm Coast were my favorites.

Fallow Mire too linear, Exalted Plains was too drab, and too many obstacles made it tedious,  Val Royaux should have been much bigger on the order of Denerim, so we could have gotten some interesting crime wave, antivan smugglers/mob boss type scenarios

Favorite: Hissing Wastes and Western Approach

Big fan of deserts so I knew what I was getting and I always feel like there so much I haven't seen in both areas

Least: Val Royauex

I've probably mispelled the name again but who care I have no love for this place I barely ever visit, Frankly feels too small for Inquisition
