Does anyone know where I can find Battlemage Coat T3? I always wear Battlemage Armor T3, but this time I want the coat.

RNG drop. Farm treasure chests in Valeska's Watch in Emprise du Lion or Sulevin's Cradle.

Been farming for these for 4 ranks now (16 to 20). Picked up the superior seers cowl, battlemage armor arms and legs and seer staff, but cannot for the life of me get the Superior version of the Battlemage Coat (has best offensive perks). Found most of my stuff in Seluden Cradle. Du Lion rarely drops anything but commons for me.

Supposedly the hissing wastes merchant will start selling superior version of the armors with the short lists perk.

What I would like to know (if anyone has an answer PLEASE share!) is how do you get the hissing wastes merchant to reset his stock??

I've seen some people claim changing the time on PC/xbone/ps4.

I've seen others claim it's a zone thing. Visit hissing wastes, go to western approach, shut game off. Reload go to hissing wastes again...

I really HATE farming for one stupid schematic. I just want some superior prowler schematics.... I found one loot drop that was prowler that I loved in my firs PT and was never able to get the schematic. Now I'm on my second PT and just want to be able to customize the look and stats...

I think the way this works is a lot more complex than just zone and time thing. I guess it depends on how many merchants do you have unlocked, in other words how many keeps you have captured since I think if one vendor benefits from the short list an other one can't. Still I have heard of people saying that if you save in Skyhold and go to hillssing wastes then if you don't get what you want quit the game to desktop and reload the skyhold save works for them.

From what I've read, Superior Battlemage Armor can be purchased in Hissing Wastes with the Short List perk, but Superior Coat and Mail are T3 loot drops only. I've found a lot of Master Works, Superiors and Sturdys while farming, just not these particular 2 yet ( or the Hilton Staff grip). Some people get them right away, and then spend forever trying to get the weapon schematics they want. This game is a cruel tease. ;-)

If you would rather not farm, download cheatengine and add the schematics manually.. after playing through nightmare legit.. I just could not be bothered grinding for schematics anymore.. so manual added them

Following this post on reddit worked for me (got all 3 vendor Superior armor schematics in about an hour).  Others said it didn't work for them, but I think they were doing something wrong as it worked for me.

 

Its worth noting the merchant in hissing wastes has a fairly small list so you with the RNG being as it is you will often get it having the same item multiple times in a row and of course the shortlist perk is required.

If I remembered where I read it I would give that person credit. The post on reddit didn't help me at all. However, starting at Skyhold after getting Short List perk, going to Hissing Wastes merchant, back to Skyhold, saving, exiting, quitting, restarting the game, and repeating got me what I was looking for without too much trouble. And I saw that the special item/schematic for sale changed with each visit.

Try the shop in the hissing waste. That is ware I buy mine. Look for the cannon in the north west by 2 camps.
