I have seen others post about the multiplayer problems, but almost no reviews seem to talk about them. Even most posts seem to either say they are the end of the world or only minor, lol.

Each of the bugs, individually, are minor. Added together it makes what should be a fun game turn into a rage inducing game of frustration.

Personally, for me the bugs are just bad enough to make the game not quite fun. The matches start off as fun, but the 3rd or 4th time I die due to bugginess, I get pissed off and quit. That means I can generally only play 1-2 matches at a time. They have what could be a great multiplayer game, the problem is it doesn't work.

Here is my list of problems in order of how much they affect me and the solution.

1. Collision detection against other players. It bugs all the time, looks stupid, and is incredibly annoying. Occasionally I can't get out of any AOE attack or move around my group because my character is glued to another character. This literally happens all the time, so it is an error bioware has to have seen. Why do we even need collision detection against other players? If they had simply not included it, since it doesn't work, there would be no problem.

2. Hit boxes + server lag on enemies, especially for melee. This causes me to routinely miss, because I will be attacking where I see the enemy but the server thinks it is several yards further ahead. The worst example as on my assassin, without targeting enemies I miss with twin fangs probably 75% of the time. Even when I lock onto them, I still miss at least 30% of the time. If my console says I am within range and I am locked onto them, it should be a 100% hit. If youcan't fix the lag issues on your network or server, you need to let the console of the player determine the hit.

3.  Server doesn't recognize abilities fast enough. Again, this happens a lot. For dodge abilities about 25% of the time and for stealth probably 10%. I will dodge away before an enemy attacks, land, get hit by the attack that is all the way where I dodged from, then rubber-band atleast half way back to where i was. A similar thing happens with stealth, I will use stealth then after I am already stealthed and behind an enemy he will turn around and attack me breaking my stealth becuase the server hasn't yet registered that I am stealthed.

What does this mean? Well, as an assassin it makes the game almost unplayable. Below is an example of a common scenario that gets me killed.

Step one, use flank attack from stealth: about 10% of the time I complete miss the enemy and go flying off and probably die by ranged enemies becuase I have now lost stealth and I am somewhere I didn't choose to go.

Step two (if I survive step one), use twin fangs from stealth: I always try to lock on to enemies, but even then I  miss about 30% of the time, causing me to loose stealth and probably be killed because I haven't actually hit the eney. On top of that sometimes they attack me even before I have a chance to use twin fangs, while I am in stealth. Ohhh, you were unsealthed for less than a quarter of a second? Great, every ranged enemy and probably a few melee enemies will now be able to target you and attack you for the next 3-4 seconds, completely defeating the purpose of stealth.

At this point, with an enemy standing still, attacking someone else I have about a 50% chance of having the server completely **** up my attacks and I die about half the time this happens. That means, no matter what I do, there is about a 25% chance I will die because of the server lag. The only way to avoid this is to basically not fight and wait for most of the enemies to be dead before I attack the remaining few.

Heaven forbid the enemy is actually moving, because then only about 1/5 attacks will even hit him. Instead I will chase them around the map with melee attacks showing ontop of the enemy with no damage and attacks like twin fangs having me jump a few yards behind them and miss.

It is funny how a much more twitch based FPS style game, Mass Effect 3, which is older I might add has none of these problems.
