Basically everything works fine until I start a new game. The game loads and functions flawlessly. During the intro scene with characters talking about Shepherd, the game and my entire system hard locks without warning, forcing me to manually shut down the PC.

The really ridiculous thing about this is that the exact same thing happens in ME1. Every step is identical as is the crash. When this happened with ME1, I brushed it off because that game is known to have a ton of issues on the PC. When the exact same thing happens in a brand new game it's just crazy.

My PC runs any other game perfectly fine, including Dragon Age. Am I just cursed to never be able to play a Mass Effect game?
