Everyone is ready in the lobby, then the game starts and all characters are standing still, not holding their weapons. For a few seconds you can see some players going forward as if they were surfing, without moving their legs. Then comes a loading screen that will last until you decide to Alt + F4.
That happens whenever I play on European hosts, 100% of the time. When I play on a non-European host, it still happens somewhere between 30 to 50% of the time.
I can rejoin the game once it has already started, hoping that there is still room available. But I can't make the transition from lobby to game.
I am from South America, and playing with other South Americans is virtually not an option. Usually there aren't enough of us to fill a lobby. Therefore I must play on overseas hosts, regardless of lag, rubber banding, and high pings. But the game apparently is restricting me to do so.
I presume that Australians and Asians players might face similar problems.
I wonder if anyone who has experienced this bug could help me somehow.
Can't make the transition from Lobby to Game on certain Hosts.

Yep, tis why I refuse to play with Americans, or Europeans. Asians, sometimes good sometimes bad, depends on the host. So we got a group of Oceanics to play with, means [almost] no lag.

Did you try this link OP? ; http://forum.bioware...ctivity-issues/
I've connected and played with americans and russians without issue, and I've only seen the issue you describe once in the around ~60 hours I've played multiplayer so far.

I've lived in Australia for many years. Actually I returned to Brazil about a year ago, and I had played at least a thousand hours of ME3MP while in Australia, so I understand the segregationist point of view that Australians have when it comes to online gaming.
The problem is that there aren't sufficient people playing DAMP in Brazil even for me to pug, let alone create a of group of friends to play with on a regular basis. So I resort to play with overseas gamers. Lag is the least of my concerns at the moment. All I want is to play freely.

Yes, I tried that. And not just that, I've tried these ones as well. I would like to think positive, but honestly I can't see any noticeable difference.
I've played over 100 hours of multiplayer and I come across this bug several times per day, if not per in-game hour.

I have exactly the same problem (and I'm also from Brazil, but I don't think it makes any difference). Yesterday, for instance, when playing private games with an European host, every single time the game started I got stuck on the black loading screen. I had to restart the game and join the ongoing game (which always worked).
This is the most frustrating bug of all, imo, and I can't figure out why it hasn't been fixed yet.
