Bioware or Blizzard?
I used to think blizzard blew Bioware way, but taking 10 years to make games sort of made my view point shift to Bioware.
Blizzard is a very succesful company for enslaving human beings by offering them a chance to prove themselves in a pseudo fantasy world, I've been playing WoW since it's launched until 2 years ago, when they ripped off the lore and wrote new ends for more people to sign up, more catalystic events just to pump up the revenues of themselves and they did a tremendeous job at it.
They only destroyed favourite characters one by one and created a mindless generation of teenagers with no RPG background or any edge at language, and not looking at events in a way that most veteran RPG players do. They wouldn't like anything sophisticated then their game, REAL roleplaying would be too much for them. Linear gameplay, only based on items and succesion through how much you devote yourself to the game is the corrupted purpose of the game itself. I loathe Blizzard for exploiting their world too much like this. I think it's just sad.
Bioware is nothing like this, they deliver far better worlds with incredible detail so many times, everytime it's a new adventure waiting to be played over and over again, just not 15 hours a day for 6 years like WoW.
I hope Bioware takes some measures about this when it comes to Old Republic, I don't want to see Yoda or some other epic character being toyed by 15 year old kids drooling for colorful items.
*sigh* Maybe they will.
and at Non-RPG genre, Valve is the best company in the world.
I dont think you could fight Yoda he isnt alive yet.

This is how I see the world:
Three Game Developers that rule all: Valve, Bioware, Nintendo (though I admit Wii Music was the worst game ever. in history. not exaggerating.) and then everyone else is leagues below them.
And Blizzard has made some great RTS's but their recent business decisions a la WoW and the the splitting up of Starcraft make me believe fully that Activision corrupted them and they are simply not the same company any longer.
I don't like nintendo, the only thing they have going for them is Metriod, Zelda, and SSB, and they only release those per next gen console.

They release a new Mario, Zelda, and Metroid game for sure at least once every least three years, often times after only two. And Mario, Zelda and Metroid remain the three most consistently excellent franchises in all of gaming. They also have pokemon, which while stagnant is still addicting and entertaining. And Super Smash Bros., which while a game that won't please everyone, it will suck up more hours than anything else for those who do. Nintendo constantly sets industry standards and provides excellence. At least on the software front. Hardware, on the other hand, is a whole other issue.
But now we are entirely off-topic. So I am done.
Still Bioware>Blizzard

Sometimes I wish people would stop pitting BioWare against Blizzard and start thinking of the other good game developers. Come on, people! What ever happened Square-Enix? Or Ubisoft? Capcom? Sony Entertainment? Irrational Games? EA?

and for those who say that nintendo is only mario, zelda and Metroid, those are just the oldest and because of that best known franchises. Every generation Nintendo comes up with new franchises, like last generations excellent Pikmin, and now this generations Wii series (wii fit, wii sports, wii whatever) and those among many others.Archdemon Cthulhu wrote...

for consoles without doubt Nintendo is for me 1st place. Then we've also got Team ICO (i'm sure i don't have to say why i like them). and apart from that, mh, dunno, naughty dog?
for PC, Bioware. And then theres Valve and Blizzard and ubisoft montreal (and whatever ubisoft Michel Ancel works at.)
i wont say which is best though. im just choosing whos games i like most, which has nothing to do with how good they are
bioware and nintendo games are the few that i'm willing to buy at release.
