I like how bioware did the Specializations with the trainers and war table mission depending on which Specialization you picked but I fell like there is something that can make the Specializations fell more special and that is with a armor and weapons pack. While its clear this game lacks varity on unique armors and weapons I feel if they do a armor pack why not include our specializations in the mix.
The quest to get the class was basically a fetch and craft quest to redeem that have armors and weapons themed after our specializations. For example Crow themed armor for Assassins, Mortalitasi for Necro, Chevaliers for Champion, Dragon-Slayer for Reavers, etc. And armor stats should focus on benefiting that specialization. Example Crow gear benefits Assassins the most. And the pack should include unique weapons of course that stats can benefit any of the specializations. And if not include the armors and weapons in the pack themselves then do schematics for it with maybe unqiue materials so we can spec the gear ourselves to match how we play our classes while still having a unique look. By giving each Specialization something unquie it adds more to it and makes you feel more when you know you can only pick one Specialization. While I would rather a quest fitting to that specialization like killing a target for assassin or slaying a dragon thats attacking towns people for reaver. But a simple pack is also fine.

New specializations are probably the best thing they could add in DLC form, replayability or even just make a first playthrough better by making specializations based on feedback that would make gameplay more interesting.
For instance Knight Enchanter is overpowered but boring to the point that I went back a save to Rift Mage and that didn't have anywhere near the oomph of DA2 Force Mage, if I cast a decent damage spell couldn't cast pull and if I cast pull couldn't could only cast one low cost damage spell

I enjoyed Force Mage. My Mage was initially a DPS/healer and mostly Force Mage after that in Dragon Age II. I had plenty of fun playing as a Force Mage. What irritates me about not having healing in Dragon Age: Inquisition is the belief that players spam the healing spell to the point of becoming invulnerable. Not all players misused it.
Having a variety of specializations is more appealing to me, than to just being forced to use just one at a time. So, being forced to use just one specialization does not sit well with me (yes, I can unlearn* it and try another specialization; but why should we if we had such choices in the two previous installments?). Having choices is always a good thing. Not everyone overused having more than one specializations. Anyway, if they did, it is their choice to do so because it was there and it is their playthrough. Removing choices doesn't make a game better.
I didn't overuse healing. I played more as a Force Mage than anything because it was fun; the spells in that specialization were meaningful, just right and not over the top. As I wrote in another post, some of the elements/mechanics that could have been used in Dragon Age: Inquisition are there in Dragon Age II. I did enjoy many things about Dragon Age II. We had plenty of choices left still.
If some of the fun specializations from Dragon Age II can be added via a DLC, I will be the merrier for it.
*I hope it can be unlearned I haven't tried to unlearn my specialization.

I have not played it yet but from what I`ve read the comments. And I can agree with most of them from watching other people`s game and videos online.
Especially Lilac`s point is valid about healing and stuff. I would not use healing myself unless it seemed really necessary, like only 20 points of health left. So spammin a talent is not valid for me either. Or even for double specialization. I tended to do that. My character through DAO for example had 3 sepcialization because each of which had something that matched my character or using them made sense. Thogh in Dragon age 2, I sticked with 2 only still for the same reasons.
About adding Specialization, I would like to see Arishok specialization for my Qunari. It makes sense. Even the abilities that could be added are like, bull charge (what Arishok in DA2 did), triple blows, whirlwind and some more.

Laidlaw said before release that you cannot unlearn your specialization. It sucks for me too!
Even the chance to change it just once or twice would be appreciated by me. He also talked about how it should be something the world will recognize while interacting with other characters. I have gotten one very brief comment by Josephine during my first playthrough - that's it.
I don't get the fuss they made about it!
But he also talked about the fact that they will give us an DLC like the Black Emporium from DA2. So maybe we will gain the ability to change it once, or something like it. MAYBE ... we'll see ... in the future ... like, several month from now ... MAYBE ...

I would love new specializations! I really do not like the choices I have. So I am very unsatisfied in that regard. I loved the Battlemage and Keeper specializations from Awakening and many others. And some of them have made it into Inquisition.
But I also think Bioawre could make a s*hitload of new and rather different specializations!
(Best definition of s*hitload I found so far is this: http://www.urbandict...Mozilla-search)
I would be just fine by letting them surprise me in that regard. Even though I don't enjoy the options I have now.
Because the way I see it: Either they do it right or they f*uck it up! There is no in-between.
But my biggest issue I have about specializations in Inquisition and regarding the future of the franchise is this:
If we only get one specialization ...
They need to be bigger! They need to be more impactful by giving me more skills. Four is way to small ...
I want EIGHT skills!
And I would love if the specialization gave my character some sort of stat-bonus or a very distinctive characteristic!
Like: Nature resistence and less agro from animals for Keepers, or faster healing and bonus damage against humans for Bloodmages, or whatever ...
I am sure Bioware can think of better stuff than me!
I would prefer that over items or equipment which boosts my specialization - that would just waste equipment-slots! If I craft an armor I want it to boost all my magical abilities, thank you!
Ofcourse I would love to get more than one specialization, especially considering the fact that we cannot influence the first specialization of our companions who would greatly benefit from a second "shot in the arm"! But I would also be very surprised if we get this opportunity ...
