...was the game released in a hurry?

I mean, right, OK, we old gens have our issues, valid and legit, but... what about all these other people on high-end new PCs and on the new gen PS4s and XBOnes, having all sorts of unbelievably lame problems they really shouldn't be having...

And what about the generic stuff that seem to hint at the game not really having been taken care of as much as it could have, like the sloppy combat, the minimal CC, the amazing number of various bugs that people report, the half-assed Inquisitor models, and the various subtle placeholders for future content...

I'm starting to suspect that this is a Dragon Age Sims4 situation. I dunno, prove me wrong someone?  <_<

what's with it indeed... lack of experience with frostbite, lack of flexibility within the frostbite engine itself, or cutting corners during development...

i feel it's a mix of all 3, whims got in the way of implementing some solid systems and the whole game suffers for it

Definitely released too early. I have the feeling they took too long to adapt Frostbite 3 and had to cut out parts of the content.

I have no technical problems running DA:I on my PC, I only encountered a handful of minor bugs ingame and at least the game looks great.

But most maps feel rather empty, as if they couldn't finish putting the planned content all in. Skyhold... or better, all 4 keeps... are a prime example, too. Only cosmetic upgrades and changes and no real use for any keep after you claimed it as your own.

Most side quests are mediocre, as if they were added quickly before the deadline was up. Even the main story suffers from it, it feels too rushed.

There are so many hints and open questions in the game, I doubt they are all meant for future DLCs and releases.

Overall the game has a rather incomplete feel to it... but a lot of these things can be fixed with patches and DLC.

frostbite does not set well with me. if it was released too early its EAs fault. not bioware.

I don't think there's much of a difference anymore.

Wait...you find the CC minimal? Did you play any other BioWare game previous to inquisition?

Well, just look at the options you had in Origins. Mage alone had 8 or 9 different ways of disabling enemies.

Now you have maybe one or two, if you can squeeze them into your tiny quickbar.

What does that have to do with the character creator..?

Soooo...apparently doors can be "spirit marked" ....this is a thing that shouldn't be a thing lol. This happened on the Xbox one, I'm sure it can happen on all platforms though. It was rather entertaining waiting for it to "die" again.

I wouldn't bet on it personally... knowing EA.

Yes I did actually, all of them, and can we please, just for once, have a friendly and non-condescending conversation in these forums without treating other gamers like they're some village idiot or something? This "OMG U NOOB LULZ" attitude is getting too old.

Well considering you didn't actually understand the intent of that statement...

From playing previous games you'd know that the aside from the hair which is a common complaint, DA:I CC is the best and by far most detailed and in depth CC BioWare has ever done.

No, never WoW. Suffered through the beta and never touched it again. There are tons of other MMO(RPG)s I played though. ^^

All games these days are released in a hurry, because they know how consumerism works. Around the holidays (November-January) people are itching to spend more, add a dash hype, a sprinkle of holiday discounts, and you've got a rushed game filled with bugs, that they knew about, but released anyway.

There is only one way to stop this routine, and it'll never happen. A lot, and I mean a ton, of gamers have to get together, all at once, one holiday season, and not buy a single game, demanding that publishers give us better quality. You wouldn't go buy a brand new car, then have to wait 3 or more months to drive it, because it didn't come with brakes.

So, someone start the petitions now, sent to all of the publishers, and then have everyone follow through, not buying a single game next holiday season, but thousands have to join in.
