Full credit on this test goes to my boyfriend, I just ate pizza and watched Game Grumps for this one. The following numbers are generated by equipping a Superb Belt of Healing (+20% Heal Bonus). The tests involve injuring a character, recording their health, quicksaving, and then repeatedly using the following healing methods and recording the final health.

The first test involved using a healing potion with and without the belt. The numbers indicate that this healing method is affected by the Heal Bonus from the belt.

Second test involved using the Reaver's Devour ability with and without the belt. The lack of change in results from the two trials indicates that this ability is not affected by Heal Bonus equipment.

The third and fourth tests involve the Inquisitor using items for the benefit of an injured Cole; the first of these tests involves the Inquisitor using a Healing Grenade targeted on Cole in three circumstances as follows: with neither of the two wearing the belt, with the Inquisitor wearing the belt, and with Cole wearing the belt. The grenades' effects on Cole were only increased when Cole was the one wearing the belt.

The fourth test involves the Inquisitor using a fully upgraded Regeneration Potion while in proximity of Cole. (A fully upgraded Regeneration Potion causes the healing to affect anyone within 2 meters of the potion's user.) As before, three distinct tests were carried out: no one wearing the belt, the Inquisitor wearing the belt, and Cole wearing the belt. Also as before, Cole's healing received is only increased when he is the one wearing the belt.

In summary, the healing bonus is never applied to anyone but the wearer of the equipment, which means that dedicated healers (using Healing Grenades and Regen Potions) do not need to be wearing Healing Bonus equipment. Additionally Devour does not work with Healing Bonus equipment.

TL;DR version: Heal Bonus does not effect Devour, but Heal Bonus works with healing item effects received by you, if you're the one wearing the bonuses.

Be sure to check out my testing on healing bonus with Necromancer's Death Siphon. I also tested if heal-on-kill equipment stacks with Death Siphon as well!

Thanks for testing this. Did you get the chance to test 1% heal on hit with +healing % gear?

No, sorry, but with the way everything seems to be going, I would say it doesn't effect it, but I can't confirm like the others. Shouldn't be too hard for you to test it though! Hurt yourself, save the game and hit something with and without the gear! Just write down the exact numbers in the attribute section of the Character Record.

But but but you should test it all!!!

seriously though, I coulda sworn it increased devour..

I am pretty sure it increases the 1% health on hit and health on kill rings. Would need to test first though.

It's not that hard to test, just attack something with the clothes or whatever on, then record the number and do it without the cloths. If someone wants to test it, I'll post it up there and give you credit :3 Make sure you get the exact numbers so it can be reproduced and tested with math powers.

Yes, thank you very much indeed for answering a question that has puzzled me for some time.

I have been in the dilemma of weather to chose Superb Belt of Healing (+20% Heal Bonus) or Superb Belt of Health (+200 Maximum Health). Now I know.

The Belt of Health is perfect for Reavers and Necromancers. Reavers have more health to spam that Dragon Claw ability, whatever it was called and Necromancers don't need to use potions with Death Siphon, so more health for them which means, more health gained when something dies. Say you have 600hp, a kill will give you 60hp back. With the Superb Belt of Health, you'll be getting 80hp for the same kill (10% of 800).

Dragon rage does not work like that. Doesn't matter if you have 2000 or 1000 hp dragon rage takes 5% of your hp per swing. SO more hp is pointless in that way. Yes dragon rage tooltip lies it is 5% per swing not 2 as the tooltip says. Meaning No matter what your hp without any hp recovered 20 shots = death.

Didn't know it took a percentage, I rarely used Iron Bull, thought it took a certain amount of health.
