What's the plan with the story DLC for this game anyway? How many are there planned, what price range, and is there a season pass at all?
So what's the ETA on single-player DLC?

I have sampled multi-player with a couple of run throughs, but for the most part I am indifferent to it. Don't dislike the multi-player, but see no need to participate while the game itself remains playable.
Strangely, the fact that is wholly separate from the main game helps to incite a degree of indifference with me. I played the ME3 multiplayer much, much more to get the war assets boost. I can appreciate why they opted not to repeat that formula, but feel like it may have backfired for on the fence gamers like myself?

No season pass, we know that much. We don't know the others, but I would probably guess three story dlcs.

The actual story of Inquisition is unsatisfying and most of the side content is just fetch quests. Exploring is really fun, and finding new stuff on subsequent playthroughs is always cool, but Inquisition needs more and better story missions.
I feel as if this type of personal view largely falls into any given individuals preferences and expectations. Inquisition ties into lots of previous game lore, with character cameos and tres beaucoup references to much of what came before.
That being the case, I try to "see" the position of those who find fault with Dragon Age: Inquisition, but frankly your use of the word "unsatisfying" seems trite to me in this context. For a game of this length, I can agree with you that it could certainly benefit from "more and better story missions" built into the framing narrative, but I would add my own caveat that tacking on BETTER too is still relative (I had no poor reaction to the bulk of the main quest). More is better, and dlc will add surely more down the road.

If I had to guess I feel like it will be released prior to Witcher 3 being released. Because I'm sure they want to make as much money as possible. Most casual fans won't care enough and will be playing the next big thing and DAI will be an afterthought.
I'm unsure on that the witcher 3 is a bit of a moving target even the latest release date is not solid yet.
And plus a lot of female gamers don't seem to like the witcher game serias, though unsure on the amount and some male gamers to cause they can't fully customize things, two different styles of rpgs.
But we will see personally will be doing both games for awhile

Probably best not to make sweeping generalisations like that

Actually I think dude has a point. Witcher games are much more male centric.

Um......Witcher has been delayed to May 19 2015
If you don't believe me see this link

They are not going to wait to May for DLC.

Exactly. I have no desire to play them. It doesn't help that people constantly post about them and compare the two franchises

They've been saying for a year or longer that there won't be any Awakening-style expansions. They don't make money.
I never buy DLC... so they won't get a dime from me

So why are we talking about the witcher and which sex it is marketed to on a thread discussing Dragon Age DLC?
and to all those talking about expansion, they canceled the Exalted March expansion for DA2 because it wasn't cost effective, because they could just use that time making inquisition since Awakening took away from time they could have spent on DA2. see the problem? so its very unlikely (And not gonna happen since they have said it wont happen) they are going to make any Awakening size Expansion for DA:I

There's probably going to more then DA:2, seeing this is the first major release for Bioware in about four years that didn't have a major backlash to it

Really is doing well, still to early to say if there will be an expasion or not but they did leave roam for it in many places.
But figure the dlcs may go a bit more lilke origins at first, with some of the cut content for areas getting thrown in to add to the flare of the over gam,e, but think they said some of the cut stuff may be free? so we will see.

I'm male and don't like them. I have yet to get through either of the Witcher games.

Its won alot of awards and selling better than Origins and DA2. There will be DLC.
Its funny how its pissing people off that there are far less complaints for Inquisition than there was for DA2 on these forums.

wow a game developer supposedly saying they'll restore cut content that's a first, now if only Bethesda did the same

If I remember correctly, they cancelled Exalted March because retailers had made it clear that they had no interest in stocking a DA2 expansion.
I think the age of DA:A sized expansions is pretty much gone. The biggest thing we can probably hope for is story DLC about the size of what ME3 offered.

I wonder if there will be a dlc about Amgarrak, seeing as it's been mention at least twice in Inquisition. During Wicked Eyes, Wicked Hearts three carta dwarves mention House Helmi is trying to mount an expidition to Amgarrak and House Dace is blocking all access to the Thaig.

I'm gonna use DA2 as my basis for what to expect for DLC.
- DA2 came out in early March.
- Legacy came out Late July. So about 4 1/2 months.
- Mark of the Assassin came out early October. Less than 3 months after Legacy.
Since there were a bunch of holidays right after DA:I came out, I'd say at best it'll be 4 1/2 months. So mid to late March would be my guess. July for the 2nd, and November if we get a 3rd.

Timed exclusives...
I was really hoping the timed exclusive DLC would be multiplayer if it had to be a timed exclusive at all (which I really hate anyway), just so there wouldn't be any spoiler-dodging required. Either way, I hope there's news soon, I'm still excited for more.
