Yes, please, quickly new DLCs!

I can't wait to read all the complaints about the DLC!

"Why no Solas?"

"Where is there additional hairstyles?"

"Skyhold-Siege!? When????"

"Bioware, this sucks, I still can't walk slowly (expect when it lags....)!?!!"

"What??? THIS is the story-DLC? It has nothing to do with Sandal and Bohdan!?

"A DLC about Qunari? And still no hairstyles for them? Shame on you Bioware!?"

"Why no Tevinter!?"

"What about the Wardens?"

"What was this ending? Why is the Maker suddenly a little child wearing a hoody??"

"AAAAARRRRGGGHHHHHHHH"

Timed exclusives...

I was really hoping the timed exclusive DLC would be multiplayer if it had to be a timed exclusive at all (which I really hate anyway), just so there wouldn't be any spoiler-dodging required. Either way, I hope there's news soon, I'm still excited for more.

Well they seem to be doing the online stuff the same way they did the mass effect 3 stuff so everyone is getting it free so far.

the  multiplayer has a microtransaction store, so dlc for it would be free

And you can also get the same stuff by just putting time into playing it, the mircotransaction all it does is make it go fast. So its choice to buy crap or not.

Have only played a couole of hours of it so far, and put no money down and got a char unlock from a chest and a few armor updgrades and so on, the chests from my understanding are completely random even if you pay rl  for them.

I play the witcher series and I am female.

As do I and female offcourse.

But then again I dont understand why people can't enjoy both.  I am frankly glad both franchises exist.

If I remember correctly, they cancelled Exalted March because retailers had made it clear that they had no interest in stocking a DA2 expansion.

I think the age of DA:A sized expansions is pretty much gone. The biggest thing we can probably hope for is story DLC about the size of what ME3 offered.

Actually David Gaider once corrected me and the way I took his comment is that they stopped work on the expansion so they could focus completely on Inquisition. There was also a comment before and its been said by other companies that even with DLC the longer it takes to release the less people there are going to buy it, so if you release an expansion at the very end of a products life cycle you won't have the same sales as a DLC released two months after release.

They already said the game has outsold both games.

Where? Got a link from EA or BW saying this?

I'm unsure on that the witcher 3 is a bit of a moving target even the latest release date is  not solid yet.

And plus a lot of female gamers don't seem to like the witcher game serias, though unsure on the amount and some male gamers to cause they can't fully customize things, two different styles of rpgs.

But we will see personally will be doing both games for awhile

May 2015. That's a solid date according to the developer. They are now in Q/A - which I am glad to hear. If (and that's a big IF) Witchers 3 lives up to its hype it'll blow DAI out of the water. RPG wise I mean. But we'll see.

There are other RPG's that are making a splash like The War of Mine and Divinity.

Same here. I think its a fanboy thing. They confuse two "competing" games with some sports event.

Pillars of Eternity is out soon too. That one might blow DA:I out of the water as well. 2015 will be a very good year for fans of rpgs, in any case. I am sure Bioware will dish out dlcs and whatnot that will improve DA:I too.

Probably best not to make sweeping generalisations like that

Actually this was a well known concern. And the dev's promised to address it. Play it and you'll know what I mean. Almost every girl is a ****. And i won't even get into the games treatment of gays. The only gay guy you meet gets castrated.

Anyway, like i said, the dev's promised to address theses issues in Witcher 3.

I really hope Pillars of Eternity will be great (Not just good), because it will mean that that type of CRPGs will reblossom, hopefully into something that will keep us going the next 10-15 years.

Don't get me wrong, games like DA:I in 3D with all the bells and whistles is what I build expensive desktop computers to play, however it's been a good while since we saw a high quality isometric CRPG and I've been itching for Pillars to come out so much that I didn't even want to try the backer version I have available.

There's also a new ME - but I hear that's 2016. And a new Elder Scrolls and Fallout. The new Elder Scrolls is just rumor though. But after the huge success of Skyrim I can't imagine Bethesda not doing another one.

To me, DAI is just okay. Nothing to remember. But that can change with a few great patches and DLC's.

By the way, when is Pillars of Eternity due?

The new single player elder scrolls is more likely for 2017 or 2018 we will most likely see new fallout first .

In a month or two. The Planescape sequel is out tis year as well. Q4, I think. And then there is that new game Lord British is making. Supposedly the spiritual successor to Ultima. That one looks better and better.

I have been playing the witcher 1 and 2 and pre ordered 3 already. So i am not sure where you pull your information from, and on the witcher forums there are a few females on there as well.

So like i said i don't know where you pulled that info from i suspect i already know the answer though.

On behalf of the International Estimated Time of Arrival for Video Game Downloadable-Content and Patch Release Dates and Other Random Things Committee (IETAVGDLCPRDORTC, for short), I would like to inform you that single player DLC for Dragon Age: Inquisition will be available sometime between February 27th, 2015 and December 2015.

On behalf of Electronic Arts and BioWare, we strongly urge you to withdraw all of your money from the bank and mail it to the respective companies, as this is likely to get the much-wanted downloadable-content released quicker. They also accept leftovers, jewelry, credit/debit cards, automobiles, and/or checks.

*Information stated here (including dates) was obtained by forcing employees to throw darts at each other calendars, and may or may not be reliable, accurate, trustworthy, or based on any factual evidence.

*Mailing your valuables and/or currency to BioWare or Electronic Arts is not likely to get downloadable-content released any quicker and may or may not result in extreme stress, financial loss, and mental illness.

Why is everyone acting like BloodyTalon said "No women like The Witcher series at all"? He didn't, and what he actually said was not inaccurate. Female games journalists have been writing scathing articles about the series' poor treatment of female character for years and CDPR have admitted that they have a problem connecting with female gamers.

It's in Early Access now and it's more of an MMO really. Anyone expecting a single player CRPG I think will be disappointed.

And with that, I apologize for further contributing to taking this thread off the rails into off topic.

I hope it's meaty and adds some more story missions to the game. Dragonborn for Skyrim was an expansion pack in my opinion, no idea how well it sold, but it's proof there's still room in the modern age for expansions. Origins and 2's DLCs weren't very good, I hope for some ME2/3-tier DLC this time around.
