His basic attack used to stab things but then he started slashing everything.  I haven't really used him much so I didn't notice till late in the game.  I thought it changed with the type of daggers I used but I haven't changed his skills or gear in a good while and he is back to stabbing stuff again.  Is this some sort of bug?

The animation for DW changes based on having either a dual blade or regular dagger in the main hand. Stabs with regular and slashes with dual blade.
