It was in the topic title, but no spoilers please!

So I'm at Redcliff, and I'm on Hard.  I'm doing the battle to save them from the undead, and it just goes ON and ON and ON.

First question:  Is it possible to save EVERYONE?  The knights, Belrick, and Dwyn are easy to keep alive (as long as they stay out of the oil fire - stupid AI here), but when I go down to help the militia, the battle goes on MUCH longer, and the militia sucks *** in comparison.  I try to focus on keeping the two named NPCs alive (Tomas and Murdock), but they inevitably die.

First off:  Is it possible to keep Murdock and Tomas alive?

Second:  I did the following: Oil, Dwyn, Owen to repair stuff, told Ser Perith that Mother Hannah could not provide any help (didn't want to lie/deceive), rescued Katherine's brother and got the sword, and didn't get the militia drunk.  Llloyd refused to join the militia, but he'd probably just die anyway.

Anything I missed that would make this battle easier?  I realize it's supposed to be epic and challenging, but the piece with the militia seems to go on too long, and that is where I am REALLY struggling.

Sword!? Haha, I guess I missed that. Llloyd (the elf archer IIRC) join's the fight with the Knights, so no help on the militia part.

You can use healing spells on the Militia men, even using it on the common militia was better use of mana then my mage blasting 4 or even 6 of the enemies. The militia allow you (and them) to flank the enemies easier. If your party is melee heavy, it might be really tough, stuning works well, but kiting seems to do little here.

I have grown very fond of freezing enemies with Cone of Cold. Your hard hitting melee can shatter them or just kill them without resistance, you can block other enemies preventing you from being swarmed, and shattering people with rocks is just too much!

I think using stuns to greater effect was what helped me. Your party makeup will be the biggest factor. Its a long fight, so it drains mana, but healing and AoE is superbly effective here.

I guess this is where I load from an earlier save and come back to Redcliff when I do, eh? Bummer.

Nah, I did it anyways, the fight takes a while, but I lost Murdock, and saved Tomas. It hasn't affected too much so far for me.

I had the same problem, here is what i did, i made my party wait near the knights up the hill then go all the way down with one charecter, as soon as the undead see you they'll start chasing you all the way back to the top. the knights will help you fighting them. keep doing this until you finish them all.

It will take quit a time though.

My problem with this fight was not in trying to keep anyone alive, but figuring out what I was supposed to do. After a long fight, there were no more enemies but everyone kept saying the fight wasn't over. After ten minutes of trying to find more enemies, I gave up and called it a nigh. Was there something I was missing, or is it just a glitch?

Try running around all the areas of the map. I had one random undead just sitting by a building that didn't run out into the fight, and I had to kill him to end the fight after all the other spawns had ended.
