Sorry bud not a word at all from bioware but it is the holiday season atm. I am sure we will hear something next week.
Personally I would've said "hopefully" and not "sure". But hell if you got that much confidence in Bioware heres hoping you're right.

As far as I know, nothing has been changed with respect to armour over the holiday. When did you first start seeing that armour doesn't seem to be working?

Haven't really looked into testing it myself, but word is that since the DLC, armor bonuses only seem to apply to the rear.

A dev answers and asks, and no one has a response after weeks of the community posting about it? I am flabbergasted.

The Katari especially seems to suffer little to no damage reduction from armour, but many classes seem to have this issue. Some were saying it was related to the Destruction DLC, but I am unsure.
I'll see if I can get some screenshots and/or video for you showing the effects.

acording to this thread http://forum.bioware...ompilation/ armor doesn't work the way it should be in singleplayer either so maybe it didn't work from the start?
Armor boosts
- "All armor buffs will only increase a character's rear armor, but not the front armor. This is the case regardless if you are using shield or not. The one exception is the Rock Armor Tonic, which increases both rear and front armor. On the "bright" side, a properly geared tank should take only 1 damage most of the time from the front due to the ridiculous stacking of shield's 30% front defense, Turn the Blade and Turn the Bolt" (GhoXen).

This thread is a perfect example of why there should be a player bug/enhancement repository. What's this like the 10th thread about the "armor bug" yet noone can point to a specific issue detailing information in a timely fashion when BW asks about it (even worse they aren't even aware of it).

Supposedly the "armor bug" is zero protection from the rear. Which would explain why I get one shot from Demon Commander if I run AWAY from him but if I back peddle when he pops up underneath me (i.e. facing him) I survive.

think the main problem with the inability to get bug information to the devs is the horrid running of this forum.
There is no section purely for bugs.. the moderators are not merging threads that are of the same content. there are no bug threads being pinned so people can find them easily.. and do not get me started on the search function for this forum..

I started to notice that I take significantly more damage around the 26th december, but I don't know how long this issue is existing. It simply feels like armor doesn nothing and some enemies can do insane amounts of burst damage. Best example, my level 20 assassin got oneshottet by some red templar stealth mook. He dropped from full hp to nothing within the blink of an eye.

The Stealth dude is not bugged, he does over 1000hp damage if he gets to creep up on you.

Yeah, but a Level 20 lego with every talent (Bar combat roll and Balanced combat) taken from the guardian tree, Stonebound Legion Commander's plate, Dirthamen's Wisdm shield and Thunderstike mace should not get one shot by an archer with full guard on routine.. nor a stalker for that matter.

On Routine? I would have to see that to believe it because my Templar certainly doesn't, even with her back turned on the archer.

The issue is that you'd take the same damage regardless of whether or not something like Warcry's 200% armor boost was active.
A compounding factor on confusion about the issue is the fact that some multiplayer armors are changing to a 0 armor value in the inventory screen, unsure if there is any relation or if it's something separate.

I should probably add, the archer used full draw.. so.. 1600x damage.. but still.. on routine.
And this brings me to the next annoying issue.. NPCs blocking.. Why by oghrens hairy ass, can NPCs block mighty blows, Leaping shots, explosive shots... etc etc etc.. Just did a run through as an AW for spirit kills.. every bloody red templar blocked every single spirit blade swing to the point where I had to knock them on their ass with stone fist just to hit them.. really? really? On perilous I can accept NPCs blocking abilities.. but not routine..

Same as us being able to block pretty much everything. Lets not confuse this with a supposed bug.

You can't be serious... dudes can block every arrow from leaping shot with a sword, s*** they can even do it while FROZEN!

It's a mode that gets turned on and off I would suspect and so if the mode is turned on, it remains in effect untill altered, but I am fully serious.
I would hate to have block/shieldwall as an option for players be nerfed into the ground because of some nillywilly post. If you want a design change, I would suggest you take it to another thread so that we can focus on the supposed bug regarding armour rating not working in this thread.
Sure, the legionare might not need Shieldwall due to OP tanking options, but the templar would be run into the ground as a result.
So lets keep focus on the supposed armour bug in this thread, and discuss blocking options for players and NPCs alike in another.

Can I have what your smoking?
Your comparing Shield Wall which drains stamina to block dmg and build guard to npc's being able to infinitely guard skills without a shield.
When i get Shield Wall on my Assassin and a perk to negate stamina costs, then we can talk about nerfs for Shield Wall.

I'm comparing the modes on a 1:1 basis.
We as players can block pretty much everything as long as we have stamina, thus so can the NPCs (Prehaps it is visa versa, but the result is the same). The frozen thing you mention I have not personally encountered, but would consider it a bug if true. Again, it's for another topic - focus on the supposed armour bug instead in this thread. Letting Reavers blow through everything with Dragon Rage would be beyond silly as an example.

Enemies being able to block or doing large amounts of base damage have nothing to do with this, the issue is that bonus armor does not mitigate damage.
