Case in point:
I am sorry, but this felt pretty bloody hostile to me.
I can understand the indignation many must feel for many games that experience bugs. It is all too frequent. However, if you were a developer, would you be more encouraged or discouraged to work as hard if every time you did something a few dozen people walked up and spit in your face?
All I am saying: If Andy was unaware of the bug, it does not mean all of BioWare was also unaware. However, even if they were all unaware, the best way to get it fixed is to demonstrate the issue. -PenguinFetish- was spot-on with making a video demonstrating the problem. Expressing your indignation regarding the subject, however, offers no benefit.
Please understand, I am not trying to insult you or start an argument. I am simply expressing what I observe, and actions/reactions leading to or from that observation. In this case, I observe a lot of indignation. That is not to say it is unwarranted, but rather to say that it is there, and it does not help BioWare identify and fix this issue.
I thinl the anger comes from the fact that we as the community seem to be reporting bugs that really should have been picked up by qa. When the armor bug was reported, it obviously wasnt tested properly because we can now see that at least 4 classes out of 12 are infact bugged. If i had not had posted this test, the case would still be closed.
Im neutral in all of this and id just like the game fixed, which is why i post videos, but i do find myself asking if i should be testing potential bugs for bioware when im not on their payroll.
Its all very frustrating and im not surprised some users are lashing out at the devs, because for Amelia to come out and say that they have one of the best QA in the business is just a bit of a slap in the face given lots of bugs that really should have been detected (such as this one) just havent. Ive had evenings where i cant complete a single game because the game is such a mess. Crashes, disconnects and key bugs happen a lot more than what is acceptable in my opinion.
That said, comparing bioware to hitler is ridiculous.
