If it is indeed a reaver-only issue, that might explain why we haven't seen this in our internal test cases. I'll pass on that information. Thanks a lot!

Andy, Katari seems to have the same issue. Just tested it out. Thanks!

I will upload a video tomorrow if no one else beats me to it

Awesome, thanks for the specific report--we are taking a look now.  Are there any particular passives you have on that character which you think might be affecting things?  Or any weapon/equipment effects (Beserk, etc)?

It's also the case for Legionnaire/Templar.  Can't confirm firsthand for Katari, but would be surprised if not.  Here's a link to a solid thread with tons of testing that clearly shows +armor doesn't work at all for shield classes: http://www.reddit.co...the_bolt_tests/

so I guess I will just avoid posting about the bugs in the game as bioware seem to think that is snarky

Or you could be less hostile? I am just saying... "No ear hears a harsh rebuttal, no matter how true, but a temperate critique is always welcome."

Good to know.

I suppose moving forwards, it would be better and more thorough if internal test cases include all 12 (twelve) characters in the scripts and/or manual tests.

Agreed. Testing all variables, such as different crafted armour, armour from various angles, perks, shields, characters, etc. would be advisable. It does seem that there was limited testing done if this much was missed. I mean, I don't remember Warcry's upgrade ever working in multiplayer, but that might just be my goldfish memory.

ok so bioware dont want to listen and gives us warning for letting them know about the problems in this game, that is nice, I know of a German leader that did the same thing.....

so I guess I will just avoid posting about the bugs in the game as bioware seem to think that is snarky

Nah, you should just be doing what I advocated for in that thread - provide evidence rather than rants.

Case in point:

are you serious ?????
you are not even aware of the issue ????

u failed with the first dlc, armor became 0 armor rating in threatening and perilous, how could you not have known that ? been forever since that happened
does ANYONE over there even play ????
does ANYONE over there even test MP ???
are you only looking at single player ???

I am sorry, but this felt pretty bloody hostile to me.

I can understand the indignation many must feel for many games that experience bugs. It is all too frequent. However, if you were a developer, would you be more encouraged or discouraged to work as hard if every time you did something a few dozen people walked up and spit in your face?

All I am saying: If Andy was unaware of the bug, it does not mean all of BioWare was also unaware. However, even if they were all unaware, the best way to get it fixed is to demonstrate the issue. -PenguinFetish- was spot-on with making a video demonstrating the problem. Expressing your indignation regarding the subject, however, offers no benefit.

Please understand, I am not trying to insult you or start an argument. I am simply expressing what I observe, and actions/reactions leading to or from that observation. In this case, I observe a lot of indignation. That is not to say it is unwarranted, but rather to say that it is there, and it does not help BioWare identify and fix this issue.

Given the internet makes it harder to feel one's intent, the easiest and clearest solution is to think before you click the Post button:  "how would i feel if someone just wrote that about me?"

If it would wind you up, then rewrite it (unless you do intend to wind them up ;) ).

Nice test. Maybe its broken for just two handed warrior then? Btw wraiths ignore armor so that why the results were off for them.

Unfortunately, I am not sure if I can see an issue here. You appear to be taking more damage when being hit from the flank, which would not support the current big with the Katari and Reaver.

I did have a thought, however: The Templar and Legionnaire may appear affected to a less degree because of the shield artificially inflating to the front defense somehow, but but still be bugged. I can't really tell.

As Penguins said, Wraiths ignore armour by design.

I thinl the anger comes from the fact that we as the community seem to be reporting bugs that really should have been picked up by qa. When the armor bug was reported, it obviously wasnt tested properly because we can now see that at least 4 classes out of 12 are infact bugged. If i had not had posted this test, the case would still be closed.

Im neutral in all of this and id just like the game fixed, which is why i post videos, but i do find myself asking if i should be testing potential bugs for bioware when im not on their payroll.

Its all very frustrating and im not surprised some users are lashing out at the devs, because for Amelia to come out and say that they have one of the best QA in the business is just a bit of a slap in the face given lots of bugs that really should have been detected (such as this one) just havent. Ive had evenings where i cant complete a single game because the game is such a mess. Crashes, disconnects and key bugs happen a lot more than what is acceptable in my opinion.

That said, comparing bioware to hitler is ridiculous.

As I said, it's not that the indignation is not warranted. It is not really beneficial, however. This is a simple statement of observation.

Instead of just ranting and yelling, you instead got evidence and showed Bioware the issue. It's the difference between a striker and a football fan... the fan just screams about everything, but ultimately ends at that. The striker, however, takes the ball and goes for the goal. While having enough fans screaming loud enough can have some effect on the match, it is ultimately the striker that is responsible for the goal, yeah? That is applicable in most situations I have come across, and is also true here.

EDIT: BiowareMod edited this post, but didn't change anything... I think someone is trolling me... I mean, I wasn't being offensive at all.

100 percent on the dot mortiel hence why my thread does not contain that. Just a simple list of reported bugs and possible additions and changes.
Start going off at them and of course they will ignore the thread lol.

If your accent is half as got as penguin I'm gonna be chubbin' all over the place. I don't know what puts the diamond on my rock staff- that syntax, those word choices, or that beret coifed skull

Nope, I have an American accent. Took many years of practice to reduce my vocabulary enough to be comprehended while living in the USA, or maybe it was after getting tired of people confusing Irish with Australian. I mean, really? Who confuses Ireland with Australia? In Ireland, everyone is trying to kill each other, or drinking, or both. Usually both. In Australia, it's everything except the people trying to kill you. That's why everyone in Australia are always so fit: In order to just get to work, you have to wrestle and crocodile and a venomous snake at the same time while sky-diving and hoping that drinking the water does not yield an incredibly painful man-o-war sting. You Aussie are right bloody daft for not running for dear life!

/rant

(That was sarcasm, if it wasn't obvious)

Exactly. You have done a brilliant job of showing Bioware the side of us that is starry-eyed and mystical like the first time we played Baldur's Gate, and I know Bioware loves that... even if they can't always implement the ideas people come up with, they still love the passion that drives that creativity.

@Belnick - I hear your complaints.  I'm in the same boat and it's getting more crowded.  The Moderators are now issuing "warning points" like they were Bioware points.  For various perceived offenses....I didn't do it.  It was another guy that typed like me..  I didn't swear, but I guess that my tone was adult-oriented.?...who knows?  Just remember to brush and floss your inquisitor's teeth.

Guys (meant in a non-sexist / gender way), can we just leave it, and get back to the armour bug?  I don't want this thread locked until it's acknowledged and fixed.

So Katari and Reaver, what are the other 2 classes?

I might of missed it with all the other posts.

Someone said the shield classes are bugged too but it looks like its just the reaver and katari. Still, 2/12 is 2 classes too many.
