I've been wondering about the quick decisions you have to sometimes make, when your party members are talking with each other. The choices basically make you either side with one or the other, or stay neutral. What I'd like to know is how much these decisions carry weight, especially with the character your romancing? I haven't finished my playthrough yet, so I don't want any spoilers but I just want to make everything go perfectly with Dorian (in case BW made the romance ending dependent on your choices). Of course, it's possible that the romance endings are toast anyway (don't want to know) and then I'll be one very unhappy camper but then that's for a later time. I tried googling this but found nothing really substantial and the reason for asking now is a party banter decision between Dorian and (spirit)Cole.

Some of the responses you make will cause your approval rating to go up or down and some doesn't matter, they stay the same.

 

Anytime there is a point where you have to pick sides go with the person you like the best or stay neutral is possible.

I kinda thought it might, even though it doesn't show the "Dorian approves" during banter discussions, unlike in important moments. That is the main reason which left me wondering about this, especially when siding with him and the neutral both seemed fine options. But yeah, I'll just stick to his side on these banters, as well, then.

You will receive a notice saying he approves or disapproves, if you get no message then it was neutral and did not go up or down.

Actually, you don't get those from party banter decisions while on the field - others yes but not from those - and that is why I made this thread, why I wanted to know how much they carry weight.
