just want to see everyone's warriors, or just favourite looking armour in general , personally i like the orlesian style helmets but haven't found any yet and have only seen the dukes mane on here so if anyone has a pic of the superior orlesian helmet i would be grateful :) i am kinda stuck in grey warden armour at the mo so wont bother posting till i get something better aha

p.s i know there is a similar topic already up but i just wanted it to be more specific to armour and not the same leather trench coat styles we see everywhere :)

So much diversity BioWare! Your artist team had to put a LOOOOOT of work to make so different armors. We RPG players love when mages have their coats, robes and cool hoods and rouges their lether armors, ninja masks, hats. And those warriors plates, spikes, heavy rounded or sharp edges armors and a looot of cool helmets...

Also all those qunari cool barbaric armor models with tattoos, primitive unique parts and plates....WOW!

Thank you BioWare artist/designers team for it! You've been so lazy!

<sarcasm off>

Now after my mage playthrough with coat and I am gonna play warrior next and craft him....a coat!

f***** YAY!

Basically anything that is not the tail coat variant or superior / sturdy battlemaster armor.. seriously.. since when is a leather hauberk more resistive than a mail shirt?

First time I've played through as a warrior and I'm wondering if most human male heavy armours have that chain mail/diamond look about them?  The same armours on Cass and Blackwall don't have the chain mail/diamond thing going on and they actually look good.  But when i put them on my character, they all look terrible and cheap, exactly like the warrior armour that the Qunari is sporting above my post.

The chainmail looks so shiny and fake, I never could get rid of it entirely, making me hate the look of my character until the end.

I love the trench coat look. Mind you, I play a mage. I was fed up with generations upon generations of games in which mages are required to wear dresses and pointy hats!

My sympathies to you warriors out there though.

I don't mind the trench coat on my mage I just wish that light armor didn't leave me with the skyhold pj pants when i have it equipped.

Well, I kinda understand where they were going with that trenchcoat look, but in my opinion Bioware really failed to deliver, Why can't it look like that for example?

Still looks more rogue-ish than anything else.

On the plus side, at least the best armours are obtainable at a point where they're semi useful.  In DA2, you had the full kirkwall armour 5 mins before the end of the game and that was the end of that.

Um... thats because it is scale mail or at least seems intended to be. More angular in the game but this image is an rl example. Scale_mail_detail.jpg

Yeah, same here. I love my coats for my mage, they look stylish. The problem is their cross-class ubiquitousness. IMO a warrior needs more craftable armor options that look like Cassandra's when she wears the Armor of the Knights Divine. That looks like armor *and* rather stylish.

New armor for Maelyn Trevelyan - more like dress armor than really practical:

Main armor: Superior Battlemage Armor

Main cloth slot: Silk Brocade

Secondary cloth slot: Dragon Webbing

Leather slot: Hardened Gurn Hide

Arms: Battlemage Coat Arms (IMO they adapt to the leather slot, else I've made from the hardened Gurn Hide as well, I don't recall).

Legs: Battlemage Coat Legs (dito)

Headgear: Cowl of the Overseer (standard version, haven't found the schematic yet)
