Wen i use my ea account and hit the button it changes the screen to a loading screen of sorts and says please wait at the bottom. How long does this take because I have waited for a good 10 minuites now with no change.

Same problem here buddy. Make sure you opened up the ports on your router if you connect through it. There seems to be a problem with their servers. I opened the ports and still don't work.

It did eventually kick me out of that screen and into the main menu after about... 15-20 minutes, maybe. Then, I opened ports and tried connecting again... still waiting.

I didn't have to set it up for DA:O either. I'm just assuming that it's server overload.
Check the readme.txt in your ME2 folder for the ports. They're listed at the bottom.
