Someone was talking about banners earlier and I was super duper bored today (was meant to go out, but snow happened) so I knocked up some rather crudely done banners in Photoshop.  If I can get some better screenshots of Cass I'll try again, her face is kind of >< compared to his but I didn't have any good shots of her somehow.

I'm trying to put the first one in my sig, but the forums are telling me I can't. That I can only use "0 out of 0 images" in my signature. Anyone know how to fix that???

New chapter of Its hard to be a gentleman is out now. I just woke up and saw it the update in my email so I figured I would update everyone. Now that I have I'm going back to sleep lol.

I think we can't use images in signatures anymore for some reason, since the BSN got converted to the new forums.  I had an old 'King of my  ' banner for Alistair that I used to use but I can't anymore (even though he still is!)

 

Ok so I have bitten the bullet and the fic is online.  I went with dA in the end since I am a wuss about reviews and I can disable comments there.  I had to break it into six parts for size; most of the Tethraghast stuff is in part 5, although there are a few bits and bobs earlier - most relevant other section would probably be the Inquisitor/Varric argument in part 4.  I started trying to post just the relevant excerpts here but it still comes out stupidly long because of dialogue spacing.

Hmm.  I put it behind a mature content filter just to be on the safe side, so there should be a blue box in the top which says 'display this deviation anyway' or something along those lines.  If it's not showing I'll remove the filter and see if that helps.

I just read the Varric and Cassandra parts. They were cute.

Did you have to think for a while on how you were going to have them kiss? I know so many people (regardless of pairing) get hung up on the dwarf/other race size difference. Some authors just ignore it, but you chose to handle it (which I think is awesome, btw.)

I did sort of think about because Cassandra strikes me as a tall, imposing woman and then Varric is so short.  Their kiss was one of the first things I wrote in the story so I'm struggling to remember now!  It sort of just happened...I suppose I just thought it was funny.  All their bits are quite funny really, it's one of the things I like about their relationship, and it was fun to write.

I liked it since it was a change if perspective this time around. There was one little detail with Leliana that at first I was iffy about but I got over it more or less.

Leliana got Cassandra to open up to her which was good but when the topic of Cassandra's faith came up Leliana felt a tad OOC to me since she herself is questing her own faith but she was trying to comfort Cass so I let it slide (sometimes you have to lie to make people feel better)

I'm looking forward to what happens next.

Since I'm a guy that totally went over my head. I literally re-read parts of the chapter thinking I missed something lol. If that is what the author was talking about I'm glad I got some clarification.

Cassandra is and will definitely be a far more caring, more romantic and more reciprocating of a person than Bianca will ever be. 

 

So if my Inquisitor was not romancing Cassandra, it would actually be a nice thing to see Varric finally waking to to the fact that he has been friendzoned for life by Bianca, decides to move on and enter into a relationship with the Seeker.

Damn I'll have to check this out later. More tethraghast is a good thing. On a side note I'm probably going to spell Tethraghast wrong so many times in the future lol.
