Got to love it when a woman can make you weak in the knees.....mmmmmmmm. I totally loved when Varric was talking about his "story" to Krem lol. I'm dying to find out what happens next since everyone's favorite mission is coming up.

I was just gone for a while, and now there are banners and taglines and more fics and more fanart flying left and right. You guys are amazing.

All I can do at the moment is insert some Tethraghast scenes in my fic, before I make full-on fluff fics because my ability to write romance is dead and I need to practice somehow ;; I'll paste excerpts here once it's done, cause my chapters are getting longer the deeper I delve in this thing. Oops.

I also... had some headcanons that I wrote while my PC is dead and my fic lost, but I'm not sure if I should share them. ;;

Bluh here be some headcanons/fluff ideas/reasons why I shouldn't write:

-- Varric and Cassandra taught each other how to fight in their own styles -- Varric teaches Cass how to use a bow (and later on Bianca), while Cassandra teaches Varric how to wield a dagger or a sword, at the very least. Later on, it saved both their lives. Cause well, they've probably been on tight spots before, but this is a different matter.

-- Cassandra's hair became a little longer over the years and months of the Inquisition, and Varric insisted she keeps it for a while, just so he could run his fingers through it and braid it a little easier. Sometimes, Cass would show up on meeting with really odd braids, and everyone just knows that its not her doing. She intentionally braids his hair in all the wrong ways in revenge just so Bull can laugh at him. Heh.

-- Sometimes, they'd actually plan to get intimate with each other on some nights, but most of the time, they don't even get past the undressing part. After they've taken off most of their clothes, they're too tired to do anything more than that and just sleep together.

-- They actually tried to keep their relationship a secret before, but after Cassandra accidentally wore Varric's tunic in a meeting one day, it just became a train wreck of signs that it became an inside joke: what article of Varric will Cassandra 'accidentally' wear next? Let's find out tomorrow!

-- During Halamshiral, they wanted to dance, but it's hard to dance the waltz because of their height difference. So they ended up dancing randomly on an empty terrace -- dancing slow on fast songs and fast on slow songs, then ended up trying to get on the noblemen's attempt to get gossip from them by playing weird verbal games like chess and pretending that they can actually keep up.

-- Varric kept on with writing Swords and Shields, and used his process as some way to teach Cassandra a little about creative writing. A few volumes later, he finishes the book, and the last chapter is a collaboration with Cassandra. And with that, Cassandra did kind of fan girl over her own work.

-- She sleeps like a shrimp and its been Varric's idea of a good thing to laugh about Cassandra, but he secretly likes this habit of hers cause she just ends up wrapping her legs, arms, everything around him when they sleep.

-- Varric tries to bride-carry Cassandra once. Because of height, it was weird and awkward. Cassandra did the same and Varric looked like a baby. But they still try to dip and bridal-carry each other anyway, cause they're all "Hahaha who wears the pants in this relationship now"

*hides* okay I lied some of them actually sounds... okay? ;; I'm sorry omg

Awww, they are cute.

I only get bad ideas in my head, like Cassandra finally helps Varric get over Bianca, helping him realize he deserves better, deserves someone who loves him enough to be with him, and in Bianca he was only settling for someone who made him a distant second priority....only to have Cassandra become divine at the end.

And then they see each other again and Varric is trying his best to act casual and he's all "damn it I want to call her seeker and princess and lioness again and I want to kiss and hug her but she's the Divine now oh gosh is this bad or???"

It's kind of sad but I'm here thinking about the sexual tension raised to impossible levels and now it's funny to me...

No, I love your headcanons!  (Funnily enough, my headcanon is that Cullen's pet name for my Inquisitor is 'lioness').  I love 'Princess' for Cassandra though, I wish I'd worked that into my story...it's just cute enough to be sweet, but will totally rile up Cassie!

Cass ended up Divine in my playthrough but I kind of want it to be Leliana just so I can imagine that Cass and Varric have more of a chance.  Like once Varric has helped rebuild Kirkwall and she's re-established the Seekers, they meet up regularly.

Now that I committed myself to this pairing I don't like Cassandra as Divine. I suppose since Leliana will stay with my warden in the end regardless I'll make her Divine in my canon playthrough.

I'd love that developing into a story... just totally skip the divine part :).

This was enjoyable to read...also reminded me of how much I missed Isabella! I know so people found her a bit of a stereotype but she consistently made me laugh. Also interesting comparison between Aveline and Cassandra. Seems pretty apt on the surface.

Isabela really made DA2 for me. First for making me laugh, her dynamic between Varric, Sarcastic Hawke & her and later falling in love with her. She would drive Cassandra crazy if they ever met in person. I could dream of this happening in game.

That was based on Aveline?! I thought the woman on the front looked so familiar!

Comic Sans seems the perfect font for Merrill!

Merrill, Isabela and Varric were some of the best party banter in DA2, I can see why Varric was missing the people in Kirkwall so much, I missed them too!

And yeah, Aveline's a little bit more light-hearted than Cassandra, but their initial relationships with Varric was just as rocky, you could easily substitute Aveline for Cass in that early conversation in DA2 about him making a "Don't" Sign that she could hit people with... and it'd still work!

(I left out the other romances in that letter because I figured that Fenris doesn't let anyone except Hawke see how his reading/writing skills are progressing, Sebastian is aware that Varric doesn't particularly like him and as much as Anders wants to apologise, he knows he burned that bridge between them when he nuked the Chantry. And mostly because I couldn't think of anything funny that any of those guys would stay to Varric?)

Comic Sans seems the perfect font for Merrill!

I saw that font and I thought, yeah, that's exactly how Merrill's handwriting would be! Although, I think she might be one to doodle random hearts when she writes, at least when she's writing letters to her friends?

Okay, dude. I forgot to commend you on this thing. This thing is a masterpiece. WRITE MORE.

And I always thought Merrill was the kind to have really cute handwriting, so much that it's getting unreadable at times. And she'd probably doodle at the sides, add hearts and flowers. Then Isabela has this really bad fancy scrawl that is kind of like a doctor's, except that it's messy because she wanted to, not because she's too distracted with her thoughts to write legibly. xD

Isn't the infamous "Don't." sign actually in Cass' banter with him over... something? It was in his banter with someone, I know that. Varric said he could get some "Don't." signs real cheap. lol

I got that banter in my first playthrough, yeah, Varric mentions the "Don't" signs to Cassandra. It just makes me laugh that he actually decided to go ahead and market them, I can just imagine him trolling the Kirkwall guard by having them arrive in a large crate.

Wow, now I want this as a mod. Make "DON'T" signs equip-able as a shield, then bash your enemies with it.

It's like that equip-able cheese wheel all over again.

At least Varric wouldn't have to think about Cassandra sleeping with another guy , if she is divine.  Huh I could totally see Varric being Divine Victoria's editor..

Sorry had to bump this thread since another Tegthragast thread popped up. This is the original lol.

We're spreaaaadiiiing! That says a lot. We just need more headcanons and fanart and fanfiction though.

At least Varric wouldn't have to think about Cassandra sleeping with another guy , if she is divine.  Huh I could totally see Varric being Divine Victoria's editor..

Now I'm here thinking that Varric would be Cassandra's scribe or letter-writer or something. Then when she has to write letters, he does it for her, and makes it either sarcastic or passive-aggressive if not overly-serious or comically serious and pretend that Cassandra actually wrote it and everyone would be "ARE YOU SURE IT'S THE DIVINE WHO WROTE THAT?"

Of course, Varric writes his fair share of business-type letters when Cassandra provokes him/when the issue is not to be joked about for real, but most of the time Cass actually finds it a good way to talk better to people cause, you know, people open up a little when the conversation's rather casual.

But when I think of Varric as a scribe, I'd think he'd be something like Alistair's scribes when he's king:

tumblr_nir858ncjJ1qhigmqo1_500.jpg

Anyway, I need your help on something, guys. I'm writing some stuff about these two, but I can't think up of a new nickname for Cassandra that's not "Princess" (thinking about it, it sounds too much of a joke, since she doesn't want to be associated with her royal lineage anymore) or "Lioness" (I'm thinking this fits more for the Inquisitor in a romance with Cullen than Cass, hahaha).

I'm really stuck. I suck at naming things. Or nicknaming them. I don't know. Whatever works.

Help. ;;
