 On top of that, the act of changing someone who is gay into someone who isn't is way worse than modding a straight character to be bi, or gay. 

Gonna have to agree to disagree on this one, I think. I think, if its going to be bad for one situation, it should be bad for the reverse.

 

I also don't think its necessarily bad for either one. So someone mods Dorian to be bi and uses it. So? Its not like its canon. Its just on their PC. Same with Cass being modded bi. I'm not gonna do the latter, but if ppl want to install that on their game, have at, I guess. I just think you can't claim doing one is worse than the other. They're the same thing. (What's good for the goose is good for the gander, fair is fair, turnabout is fairplay, etc, etc.)

 

About Hard to be a Gentleman, maybe Hunter decided to try rewriting the 1st chapter and so the story is unavailable at the moment? I'm checking now.

 

UPDATE: Ok, yeah, Hard to be a Gentleman isn't up anymore. Sent a PM asking if everything's ok. With the requests for concrit on this thread, I'm guessing that susx (hunter111 here) is revising it or something. We'll see, I guess.

I mean, yes, presumably the mod exists somewhere on the Internet, but it's mere existence should not be ipso fact threatening unless I was looking for something to be upset about.

 

You choose your religion, not your orientation, or the colour of your skin.

I'm just happy that I got into a pairing where I felt safe to post on this forum! Seriously, I usually avoid places like this. I was especially wary of getting into the Bioware social sphere  (and worse, Bioware Pairings social spheres) because the opinions are JUST TOO STRONG haha... But I had decided to try and be a bigger part of Dragon Age fandom once Inquisition came out, since I didn't feel capable enough to draw the fanart I wanted to way back when I played Origins/Awakening and DA2.

 

Aaaanyway, just wanted to chime in that I'm glad I like this pairing and that the fanworks for it are so great, and that you guys are super cool.

Yea this thread is awesome & full of a lot of great people. Also I think I may be the only guy that regularly post in this thread lol. It is totally okay with me since this is a nice contrast from the Iron Bull thread which for quite a while was mainly guys but now we have evened out in there. Besides in there I can say raunchy stuff about various.....things then come here & imagine Varric & Cassandra doing those various things.

I'm sure Elizabeth is right and the author is just revising. I think the only thing that will get you deleted from ff.net is a TOS violation in your story, which I doubt that had.

Though I don't know, Zerloc, maybe the author deleted it because you didn't review it in time?? (J/k).

Congrats on your promotion. I know a thing or two about bad majors. I double majored in two liberal arts fields and was a class away from a minor in Latin. Translation: "Do you want fries with that?" Good for you for going back now, though.

Philosophy degree, here. Focusing on Applied Ethics. Minor in biology. And I have a job editing websites. It still confuses people. lol What can I say? Diverse interests. I'm a real Renaissance Woman.

Actually, I've never really thought about what people who enjoy DA would choose as a profession . More biology here and loving it. 
Latin? Tried to get rid of it as soon as I could which still meant I had it for 5 years in school, lol. Then I took English and Arts as advanced courses. I guess that's why I like Shakespeare, Impressionism and Art Noveau . But I have to admit that my very basic remaining Latin still helps with some languages.

Ah yeah, I'd forgotten about that clip, too! She stabs that demon that's about to get Varric at the end there, if I remember right. I do love how these two are so often portrayed as a team in promotional art/footage.

Yeah, there's a real dearth of PwP fic in the Cass/Varric fandom, isn't there? I think I found, like...2? Whereas the IB fic, what little I've read, is like 3/4 PwP, lol.

Maybe we're all too classy? (And by we, I mean "ya'll" since I am definitely not.)

I originally majored in broadcast journalism after I got out of high school. While I may have the voice for it (the voice comes in handy when I'm serving tables) & I can be outgoing the field really isn't a fit for me. It took me three years to figure that out & decided to take a break from college for a while. Now that I'm older & I'm focusing on what makes me happy I'm getting a PHD in sports psychology. I've always had an interest in the human mind but preferred to focus more on an applied field of study. In psychology there is only three choices to choose from & sports psychology was the best fit. While the work is challenging it is very engaging & I love it.

 

That CGI of Cassie & Varric is amazing. I'm going to use that for my start screen wallpaper.

There are a few on fanfiction & one of our fellow bull riders is has written quite a bit of smut but he writes yaoi fanfics so I'm not sure if that is your thing. I can gladly post links to any that I find but it'll have to be when I get off work since Fridays are my double days.

Amusingly enough, editing was one of the few things I enjoyed about the last job I had. I got out of college and entered the military thinking I was going to do a bunch of cool, interesting stuff. So naturally, I got assigned as the admin officer. (Talk about a job that will make you want to stick pencils in your eyeballs and bang your head against a wall). But I did enjoy editing all the awards and correspondence (not that I'm super at that kind of thing, but it was a low bar...)

But I didn't enjoy biology at all, so there. Biology to me was just like a big bunch of "memorize this". Where was the fun in that? Now, chemistry was awesome. Talk about the closest thing to magic we'll get in our daily lives. "I had this, mixed it with that, now it's this completely different thing. Magic!"

(I would totally put the Dorian VA magic gif here if I had any idea how to embed gifs.)
