You're wrong. 9 elven gods with 2 that were still in the physical realm. Mythal and Fen ' Harel. That leaves 7 sealed away. Same as the 7 old gods/archdemons

Nine Elven gods, then the forgotten ones. Too many to be the old gods.
Like I said before the evidence doesn't make sense unless the Forgotten Ones didn't exist and the Elven Gods have always secretly supported humanity for some reason.

The break away of the Forgotten Ones was long before the Fall of Arlathan. I wouldn't neccessarily draw a direct connection between the two.
But I still do not see that any number of Gods should proclude the theory from being plausible.
