Leliana always sounds depressed when she tells you about the target.  Really doesn't make sense.

This is correct. Even with staffs, if you go up next to the pot you will 95% of the time break it. There are some pots that are untargetable though. This is because there is something else in the vicinity that you can interact with possibly, or that you have fired on the pot from afar and it has reappeared.

Another tip is that if you get two pots next to eachother and you break one, the other one will often be impossible to target. Pick up the gold and you will be able to target it again.

Honestly I wish they'd just remove them alltogether. I dont really see the point to them other than them being a nuisance to most people.

This.  Cullen and Leliana keep talking about how there's no info, yet they know where everyone is and who they're fighting.  Not to mention that they take credit for sending out the team to take out a target or save some idiot who got lost despite the fact that they said at the beginning that the had no idea what they were doing there.

That appears to be a common thing in pugs. There must be some hidden reason behind this as way too many people do that.

Yeah, that triggers me as well.

"We don't know what they will face"

and a second later:

"We are sending them to Tevinter ruins. There are Venatori in the area"

Some of the things already mentioned I agree with, but here is a short list of things that bother me...

1: People who push ahead of the team.  Besides the fact that they are leaving everyone to pick up gold and try to open treasure rooms so they can show off at the end of the match, they are also jeopardizing the team by pulling agro and possibly going down.  Even if they have a solid character that can solo the game, XP in this game is shared.  When a team member goes down, and you revive them you get 25xp for the team. If your other team members are close to you the WHOLE team gets 75 xp.  Same goes for kills.  If you get all the kills by yourself, you can brag at the end of the match because you got the team 7-9 thousand xp on the middle difficulty, but you hurt yourself because all that support xp was not given.  If everyone on the team hits an enemy before it dies, we all get shared xp, and this adds up huge at the end.  We are better off each getting 4000 xp for a total of 12,000 after the match compared to you getting 6000 and the rest of the team combined gets 3000.

2: People who open rooms when we are already fighting a group, especially on the hardest difficulty.  This also happens if we open a room with enemies and they pull new enemies into the mix.  It is not as big of a deal on the middle or lower difficulty, but can still result in a team wipe if you are a bit under leveled, and on the highest difficulty it is a disaster.

3: People who join a perilous that has an open spot because someone left with a  level 1 character looking for a power level.  Do that with your friends, not random players.

4: Loot item levels being so low.  It is an insult to get a level 4 purple on a character that has prestiged 8 times.   Purple items are so rare that if you actually get one it should at least be level 20.

5: People who vote kick you the moment you join because they don’t like the character you come in with.  Give me a minute and I can change to another before you kick my archer because you already have 2 on the team.

6: Did I mention low level items for high level characters?

7: They need a countdown for when a game starts that happens in addition to us voting.  If you are not ready to start a game in 2-3 minutes why even look for one?  That countdown needs to be reasonable, but there.

8: Players that don’t help, and there is always one person who will not vote kick them.  There needs to be some sort of notice when a vote kick is happening.  Also, inactivity should result in a kick automatically if there is already 1 or 2 kicks.

I've had wonderful games where everyone opened every treasure room, waited until all the enemies were dead in the area before doing it, and just stood there until the appropriate character could open the door. Not even a single use of "Over here."

And then there's "OVERHEREOVERHEREOVERHEREOVERHEREOVERHEREOVERHEREOVERHEREOVERHEREOVERHEREOVERHEREOVERHEREOVERHEREOVERHEREOVERHEREOVERHEREOVERHEREOVERHEREOVERHEREOVERHEREOVERHEREOVERHEREOVERHEREOVERHEREOVERHERE"

OMG GOD GIVE US 2 SECONDS TO FINISH KILLING THESE GUYS OKAY THEN WE'LL GET YOU YOUR 40 FRICKING GOLD OKAY

I play with PUGs most of the time, and I get that a lot of the time you get people who rush ahead while I am dealing with treasure rooms and pots. What kills me is when it is an undergeared low level chaarcter. I'm not going to complain too much if you can at least handle everything on your own, but when some level 5 archer is trying to solo threatening, I'm probably going to just let you die and the other 3 of us can handle it.

Its Bioware's very intentional way of disincentivising speed runs. I'm guessing their feelings got hurt by people finishing ME3MP plat in 12 mins

....

People running ahead and not paying attention to treasure rooms (even though you know it is safe) really arent teamplayers and lack patience, both highly rated traits in my book.

Ya'll know who you are.

Yep, when I see a player run off on their own I start a countdown in my head to see how long before they die (usually in 15sec or less).

Also, yeah, those players who open the door to the next level while going for chests... what a bunch.

Something that annoys me that's quite trivial is being booted from a threatening lobby when I'm a level 10.... like really? Do you even know who I am? Do you even Necromancer?

The guy in my group yesterday who felt the need to call out EVERY SINGLE TARGET through the entire game...
"Attack this one!" "This one said something about your mother... All your mothers!" And so on... It was incredibly annoying. Thanks so much for calling out every single thing you decide to attack buddy. I'm pretty sure I could have figured out which mob to attack without your brilliant insight...Then he made some smart ass remark when I hit the health font after round 2 even though we didn't "need" it... Like we need to save it for later for some reason or we would actually bother to run back to it if someone needed a heal... What an imbecile :(

I had a guy flipping out because someone grabbed the first one when we didn't "need" it, and would proceed to try and run back to the start to use old ones to save the new ones, just in case. Then his friend lost his mind when I looted a chest because it apparently took away from his challenge of collecting gold. He also thought stealth lasted forever.

When I play tank (and only when I play tank), I will mark priority targets for people, such as archers, shadows, despair demons, etc. I do this because I find that people do not know what targets to attack. That Brute or Pride Demon is not your first priority as an DPS, but it is mine as a tank. I even made how-to videos about this because it is that rampant of an issue.

I will also advised PUGs that if the team's health is full, there is no need to get the font. I am not rude or sarcastic about it, however. Some people legitimately do not know that you can go back for it later. I like to save it if at all possible on the outside chance I have to clutch the zone. Unfortunately, I tend to clutch most frequently in PUG matces, which is also where teammates will arbitrarily grab the font when it is unnecessary.

Calling out priority targets or marking the assassin is one thing... That is actually beneficial to the group and makes sense. Calling out every single mob you attack for the entire game is a bit ridiculous and the spam of "get this one!" five hundred times in the span of 20 mins was incredibly annoying...
Likewise with the fonts... Typically I don't even bother to grab them unless a teammate or myself is noticeably low on health... but if it's an early round and I am missing even a smidgen of health I figure what the hell... We aren't going back for it and I don't think it's going to make the difference in getting through round 2 of threatening. The last stage is somewhat a different story... but in reality most of the time it gets forgotten about anyway in the heat of the battle and if you "need" it to beat the boss then you probably weren't going to beat them anyway.
