On a scale of DBZ to 10, how much does character death actually matter?

Gwen Stacy and Uncle Ben still stay death. Poor spiderman. Comic book death doesn't apply to his family.

They kill everybody in comics, in one continuity or universe and then bring them back later.

What are you talking about?

Bull would have killed Wolverine!

If I had a dollar for every superhero Resurrection, I would have enough money to buy the script for supernatural and resurrect everyone back again.

Well, except when his parents came back to life.

Although... technically they didn't, since they were evil spy clones. So yeah - the world HATES some Spider-Man.

And Gwen Stacey doesn't ALWAYS stay dead...

I'm expecting them to kill off or cancel the books of characters whose movie rights are owned by other companies in an attempt to sabotage the chances of success and get the companies to give the rights back to Marvel/Disney.

It likely won't work.

They are cancelling Fantastic Four, so it´s not for lack of trying. But really, how so much nonsense gets aproved in comics escapes me.

There was a saying about death in comics, that only Uncle Ben, Bucky and Jason Todd stayed dead.

...and they brought back Jason Todd (sorta).

Anyway, like I said, public service announcement for those who didn't know, like me, but who are still fans of the character. I only bought the Wolverine series in the 90's when his adamantium got ripped out of him by Magneto, and he had that sword. The artist Adam Kubert's faces all looked the same, but I loved the art anyways.

Jason Todd and Bucky are alive though. That's why it's funny.

Also this was fairly big news. Most news websites I was going to were talking about it as were countless comic related YouTube channels.
You'd have to be pretty out of the loop to not know about Wolvie getting the axe (or encased in Adamantium)

X-Men is going strong. So I don't see that happening. Especially since Axis pretty much said Sabertooth would become Wolverine.
Or Old Man Logan gets brought into the main Marvel Universe after Secret Wars 3 this summer like I'm predicting.

I think the only reason Fantastic 4 is getting booted is because...God the Fantastic Four are lame and worthless. Not to mention haven't been relevant since Jessica Alba was in a skintight jumpsuit.

Well, if you equate "comics" with "Marvel/DC superhero franchises", then sure. Thankfully that isn't the case though.

But since Gwen Stacy had children with Norman Osborne I think the question is, do we even want her to come back?

Oh no!

Comics are teaching our children how to be pedophiles!

More at eleven.

She was in College when it happened (Might've graduated at this point I dunno)

So she would've been the legal age of consent.

Still no less creepy, and awful since it means Gwen cheated on Peter.

Technically speaking, there's also a clone of Gwen running around somewhere I think.

And her Osborn love child looks exactly like her too.

So she's still alive in spirit.

Gwen Stacy is back (sorta)... Spiderverse version anyway. I think Marvel announced that she's getting her own comic book later this year.

As for Wolverine.. everyone knows he's coming back, it's just a matter of time.
