This item is supposed to (according to the Prima Guide) turn all wolves in the game friendly. They aren't supposed to attack you when you are wearing it.In fact the guide says they may even aid you against other enemies in the area. This I thought would be awesome as I have a moral objection to killing wolves. I have always disliked how wolves have been treated as monsters in RPG games. And movies. And books and etc. I don't mean dire wolves. Just regular wolves. Problem is it does not work. They remain hostile and attack on sight. Which normal wolves would almost never do btw. Mayhaps not a big deal to some but a disappointment to me. At any rate I was wondering if anyone else who is familiar with this item has the same problem. Or if it works as intended for them. And yes I have done the quest were you kill the demon who was influencing the wolves. I have been wearing the Talisman ever since and it has always failed to work.

Huh. I could swear I got help from some wolves in the Hinterlands. This was before the patch though, so I am unsure if that changed it!

This worked for me, too. It was nice to see a pack of 'm on my side (before and after the patch).

Thanks for responding but no it didn't work before the patch either for me. I used to think that maybe it was a glitch because I sold the Token then bought it back. But I have experienced the same thing on a different character. So no joy there. Bummer I hate killing wolves man. Actually i don't I just avoid them. Still it would be cool if it worked like it should. It would be also really cool if game designers and lots of other folks stopped portraying the noble wolves as just another bloodthirsty monster. That probably won't happen either.

I think it only works in the Hinterlands. Wolves from other areas will attack you no matter what.

Does it only work if equipped on your main?

I keep reading this as the Token of the Packhamster. That would be awesome, imagine a pack of hamsters following you and carrying all your surplus gear.

Yeah, it only works for Hinterlands wolves. Nowhere else. I think it's a bug.
