So in Skyhold the inquisitor has an awesome room, with great views and a bed that you can personalize in many different styles... and it's hardly ever used.
Such a waste of a nice setting.
I was upset that the Inquisitor chose to make love to Cullen in his "room" with this MASSIVE GAPING HOLE OVER HIS BEDROOM! Draft-y, seriously. I wish my Inquisitor could've spoken with Cullen about how cold it was as they were naked together, bloody hell I would've been freezing. Not as much fun when you are stuck under the covers, very little variation in what you can do.
It so would be nice to have a REASON to go to the Inquisitors' bedroom though, there is one thing to gather from the desk and there is no quest to send you there.
The hole in the ceiling is for the Tac Cam. Else, you'd only be looking at the floor ...
Well, the entire Skyhold itself is pretty much useless in regards to the story and gameplay (a perfect example of Chekhov's gun).
That's the main issue with this game - many things are pretty, but useless.
Yeah, the mounts suffer a bit from this too. Except from taking shortcuts going down a mountain without taking damage (which almost feels like a bug anyway), they aren't useful for much.

I simply use a barrier for that. Much faster.
Ehhhhhhh the misinformation is strong here.
5/8 of the LI's have sex/romance scenes are in your quarters. Dorian's kiss scene also happens there. Not to mention all the finale scenes end in your room.
Honestly though I wish we could interact with some stuff, like sit down and read a book, or rest on the bed, would've been neat polish but o wells.
While the room may get used for some cut-scenes, it seems that it should either a) be used specifically for romance scenes or 2) have some sort of functional purpose of existing.
Otherwise, it's just a wasted space.
At least in the Captains Quarters of ME 2&3 there was a superficial purpose to them.
I wish you could sit like in skyrim. If nothing else.
Maybe a journal too of what you've done so far
I love the game but.....
I have to laugh.... really there was such attention to detail in so many areas, and at the same time such a lack of attention to so many details in other areas....
I love the way my quizzy sits with her legs wide open, the way Cullen has his head permanently fixed to one side as he sashays to the war table in his hunchback boa fluff armor.
I just have to shut my eyes and pretend.

LOL.

You don't need to use tac cam in skyhold...
or in a cutscene...

By the title I could swear you were talking about the game itself. The topic title is one of the most precise ways to describe how I feel about this game, thanks for the unintended help.
Well I did find the QUIZQUISITOR lurking in there once.

Better than Quizzy and Blackwall doing it on a hay bale in the barn ![]()
Since it's behind an area transition for some reason, I don't mind not having to go there much.
This is a good point. DLC perhaps?
I can see it now: the sleep in your own bed DLC. Only 800 BW points.
Or maybe a party with the inner circle...like the Citadel DLC...1600 BW points.
I really wish they would unlock NPC/companion movement, chatter and, interaction inside Skyhold. Yes that's basically asking it to be like The Sims games inside the castle but, it could be done. Now I get that voice actors to do that would be costly so, I'd gladly pay 40 USD for DLC that did that and, I'd bet I'm not alone.
Things like Have dinner with [all companion or, one by name]. Invite [romanced companion] to quarters. Walk the ramparts with [name]. Sit in the garden with [name] Have a banquet. etc...
Agree. It's just a waste, especially considering how ****** AWESOME this room is. I mean, I'd practically kill IRL to get something like that, huge mansion atop a tower in the middle of a mountain range.
I'm a fan of towers in general, and remote, silent locations, and castles and I love mountains. So that's honestly the absolute best room I could ever dream of ^^
I may be the minority but i hated that room, way too big for my tastes and gives me this empty feeling.
The only places i really liked is Leliana and Sera's, esp Sera's was cozy and colorful.
What really bothered me were the rooms with the holes on roof or woods/rocks on floor. Like, come on.
