Mass Effect 4 will be the DLC. Its going to be about the Inquisitor warping into the future.
Dragon Effect: Interdimensional Boogaloo is yet coming.

I think they could bring in DLC based without removing current story. Adding a new planet. Place to see with new quests. Maybe unlocks new banter and romance options for main storyline without changing the story. It can be done. It's a popular game. People pay for this game with hard earned cash. Is it wrong to want more.
Mutiplayer gets them more income. Everyone knows they pay for those chest like they did in Mass Effect. That's the real money for them. Updating maps in Mutlplayer. If I'm not mistaken. It's MP weekend. (thats what it says when I log in) they should adding new features and storys to the main questline.
Damned if they do, damned if they don't.
If they release single-player DLC early, OMG they ripped it off the game!
If they wait before releasing it, OMG multiplayer is to blame for everything!
Besides, they have a history of not releasing story DLC until 4-5 months after the game releases. Let's avoid pressing the panic button until March at least.
Game hasn't been out for even 2 months.. Some of us haven't even finished it (A completionist playthrough takes around 120 hours and that'll be 2 hours per day for two months). Maybe they should have just added Crestwood as a DLC (since many don't want to consider it a good sidequest anyway)
Adding a new planet.
I have heard rumors of a Mass Relay somewhere in Por Vollen. Perhaps there are Protheans disguised as Qunari.
See, this is why I advocated NO ****ing MULTIPLAYER.
BioWare is now going to regularly update multiplayer instead of....you know, the part of the game I actually wanted to to pay for. I told you guys. I kept telling you and none of you wanted to listen.

ME3 had multiplayer, and 4 big pieces of single-player DLC, incuding one of the best they've ever put out (Citadel). I don't see how the inclusion of multiplayer means they won't do single-player DLC. They are completely unrelated.
The game is still new. How on earth they suppose to release or even announce a DLC? It takes months to make a decent DLC.
Bioware have already stated that they're planning at least one single-player add-on DLC for Inquisition.
...And it's going to be Xbox-exclusive. (Timed, but if they follow Bethesda's lead it'll be a really LONG time.)
Not sure if that's any better. D:

Yeah, you tell them! Like that time when they only released multiplayer DLC for Mass Effect 3 and didn't release a single piece of SP DLC. Oh wait.........
Oh dear another BSN BS.
Get the damn game working and only after that think about SP DLC's.

Thanks for saying it, so I didn't have to.
I'd also like to point out that for pretty much every MP DLC, the SP DLC was fairly significantly larger and clearly prioritised. Hell, the final MP DLC was basically half-finished with comparison to Citadel.
DAI is so much bigger than any game Bioware has ever made, there's so much in it, and there's so much that could easily have been in it but wasn't due to time. When you've got a game that awesome and popular, yet has so many areas that obviously could be expanded upon (like Skyhold) there's no question that there will be DLC, and lots of it. Ironically, for those of you who were here back then, you may recall that they promised 2 years of DLC for DAO, something that obviously didn't happen because they decided to go for a quick DA2 instead, but this is definitely the type of game that, should they choose to go that route, could easily support 2 years worth of DLC, because there's just so many different areas of the game where there obviously could be even more there than there already is. We've already seen with our own eyes a lot of really awesome stuff that somehow didn't make it into the main game, like the red Templars attacking Crestwood. That looked like an awesome mission, and will obviously make for great DLC. I seem to recall them showing a rather large Deep Roads area that we never saw in the main game either, that would be great too. And of course the inevitable Expansion, the possibilities are virtually limitless! I'm definitely looking forward to DLC and lots of it, and the sooner the better!

Sounds great - I'm really enjoying the multiplayer.
(I did spend around 400 hours in the single player first, mind you)
The game's barely been out 2 months.
Hmmm.
Here's my take: I don't care about the multiplayer. It is nowhere near as engaging as ME3's. I don't care about it at all. Not gonna play it. So, there's that.
And here's my overly reactionary part. In my opinion, the only thing that can save this game for me is really great story DLC. Even DLC that adds story to all of these lifeless maps would be great. A DLC that explores more about Corypheus would be swell. Because for an antagonist, the guy barely registers and could use an interesting story campaign that explores the old Tevinter magisters. My interest in continuing to put time in this game really does rest on DLC. As I said in another thread, we live in a weird time where if the vanilla game is lacking and incomplete, it can be saved by the DLC And I'm fine paying for it.
Ultimately, I'd like to believe they are going to make story DLC, but they are just being cagey as to not get expectations up. If not, I'm just going to retire this game and hope for a better game in the future.
I will say the devs are weirdly quiet right now. Not sure what to make of it. Maybe they're just enjoying some down time.
Well, my comment was about the gaming industry as a whole. I want to play games essentially the same way that I have since the 80s - by myself and offline. I enjoy the ability to get add on content for the story mode a lot, but all other aspects of online gaming mean nothing to me. As we all know though, the industry has been focusing more and more and more on that end of things, and its often been to the detriment of traditional gaming. There are now entire genres of gaming that no longer exist as single player offline.
We don't do much of anything like we did in the 80s. To keep expecting this is unrealistic. We don't talk on phones like we did in the 80s, we don't watch tv like we did in the 80s, we don't use computers like we did in the 80s, and we don't buy music like we did in the 80s. The 80s is 3 decades ago. If you keep your expectations like that you're going to be disappointed more often than not. It's just not realistic. Technology changes, and so does how we use it.
Someone needs to inform Mr. Laidlaw of Aaron Flynn's comments to Major Nelson. He said there was singleplayer DLC in the works that they were excited about, but couldn't say much more. Only that it will be out for Xbox One first, and that it will allow them to continue telling stories within Inquisition.
