This is a full price triple A title not some 99c app off the iOS store. It would be one thing if this feature was completely a side thing that was just there for flavor but you've locked other features (gear, shops, lore) behind this thing. Making it so I pretty much have to deal with this garbage. Please never do this again.
Remove or substantially reduce war table wait times.

Also, why does it take Leiliana an hour and a half to do nothing?

You can modify the system date to instantly complete missions. Not sure how quick that is on console, though.

That is a fantastically bad idea. Yes, it works... but you mess up time stamps on all files, scheduled tasks are thrown into chaos and good luck trying to find/fix problems that occur during periods when the time is wrong.

Yeah... they could make the Inquisitor's quarters at least marginally useful by adding the option to rest by clicking on the bed... which would advance the time of all war table missions by whatever degree.
And speaking of war table missions, I'd have liked more of them about Corypheus striking back at you that popped up as time passed... that way, advancing time would be a bit of a double edged blade - faster resolution of your advisors' current tasks, but also the possibility of more Coryphywaffles-attacks popping up.
But hey, what do I know about game design.

The war table is one of the bigger disappointments dragging this game down for me. At it's heart DA:I is one of my favorite games of all time: Suikoden. I'd have been totally in love with this game if the war table was the strategy battles from that game re-imagined. Or some other thing that actually gave me agency. People often mention hating scanning in the Mass Effect games. Well, scanning at the very least involved some action on your part. The war table makes me feel like I'm waiting to play this game I already paid for.

Yeah 18 hours to do a quest is a joke. The war table screams MICROTRANSACTIONS PREMIUM PLAYERS GET IT DONE FASTER, but the thing is, there's no way to pay more even if you wanted to. I feel like I am a constant free to play player in a subscribtion-based MMO.

Nothing, because 'design' is more than just writing a concept on a piece of paper.

You can shave off 30-35% of the time required via Agents.

Not too many people sleep for 24 hours straight.

No, but quite a few people go to work/school.

Yes, I was so glad the 24h mission only lasted 18h! I am so glad I got all those agents...
...so why can I only have 3 missions active at the same time?

Do you not have a job/class/sleep/life to attend to? I mean nothing war table missions reward is worth anyone teetering on the edge of childhood Christmas anticipation like that. Set it and forget it, be pleasantly surprised later.

No, but quite a few people go to work/school.
Most people don't work or go to school for 24 hours straight.
Also, most people prefer to game when they have free time, and not have to factor arbitrary 24-hour wait times into what is probably a complicated enough schedule, as is.

I liked the War Table missions, but a few of the later missions or end quests of chains do take too long to complete. If something similar to the war table is carried over into future games, I think they should reduce completion times to 3 or 4 hours at most for the. Most of them should be able to be completed in a single session, or at least by the next time you log in.

And I repeat again, absolutely nothing the war table missions reward is worth hinging your entire game on.

It is precisely this reason the war table is so insulting my friend. I have finite amount of hours to play. I want to see the fruits of my efforts because I paid my dues. I bought the game. I played the game. I did the do. But I have to wait for this thing that I already paid for because....reasons.

Being insulted over half a page of text and 30 influence that runs automatically in the background and requires literally no effort on your part aside from clicking accept is a level of entitlement I can't honestly grasp.

Because you have three advisors that are responsible for their respective jobs? Cullen is the military, no matter how many agents, they don't take over the role of general, Leliana is your spy master, no matter how many agents, none of them take over their own spy ring, or we'd start with Varric having his own ring as well, and Josie runs the diplomatic corps. You also have agents like Dennet that are Inquisition, that apply across the board.
I'm not having any problems with the War Table's concept. Some things should take time to accomplish, from a strictly RP PoV. We already have people going "this isn't an RPG", but people think they should remove RPG elements because they're RPG elements?

No one is saying that it does. They're requesting a reduction or elimination of the arbitrary wait times.

I don't see anyone making this about insults, except perhaps for you accusing someone you disagree with of being entitled.

Oh, my general can only run one operation at a time, despite having a large army at his command?
My spy master can only spy on one target at a time, despite having hundreds of agenst all over Thedas?
My diplomat can only write one letter and send one messenger to one recipient?
Please.
