Any thoughts on how I should spec Solas, Viv and Dorian, both in terms of skills and tactics? Just give them all Static Cage?

Static Cage is always good.

Personally, I give Dorian Ice. I prefer my DoT from spriit mark and walking bomb to not be moving and be prone to shatter. 

Throw a [virulent] walking bomb on someone in a static cage and watch the numbers collide. 

 

Vivenne I maxed out Spirit [minus the broken mind blast upgrade :<] and Knight Enchanter on her with Fade step and Immolate and barrage

 

Solas when he gets his rift mage should no longer be your barrier mage. 
Fire mine + pull of the abyss are great. Plus the more weakened enemies the more mana you have. 
If they could fix stonefist then you could proc shatter by yourself
