I have been checking out the cutscenes from a large amount of games released lately which has been deemed trippel-A games
when it comes to the budget, developer and publisher. Halo, Diablo, GTA, Mass Effect any many more.
And i can't say i see ANY noticeable increase in the quality of biowares cutscenes. There is little to no differense in the cutscenes
from DA:O to DA:I, and ZERO differense in the cutscenes from ME1 to ME3, the characters looks out of place, the face and movement
seems lifeless puppet-like and are most of the times just uninspiring to look at, it gives me the feeling of "rushed".
I can't help but believe that biowares standpoint on this is "we have a cutscene engine that works - don't waste money on improving it".
A GOOD developer should always strive to improve it's quality in all aspects. When a game that is released 5 years after it's
predecessor, i would expect the developer to have evolved pretty much everything in the said game... but in this case, bioware does not.
When other developers looks onward and strives to evolve and improve - bioware seems like they remain, degrades and degenerate.

The only difference is that ME3's cutscenes looks more plastic, not more alive.
Still same stale movement, lifeless eyes, lifeless fascial expressions.

In terms of both developement and computerpower there is 5 years aprox, and A LOT happens in PC-gaming in 5 years,
yet these cutscenes are barely moving forward in any department. I guess it would be comparable to the change between
Torchlight one and two...
So why are bioware stuck in the same place they have been in for the past 5 years in terms of quality, and even moving backwards
in some cases?. We see their games losing content which as loved by players (DA:I lost its tactics and movement, ME3 went from rpg to 3rd fps).
Then look at the cutscenes from games like

Metro redux 2033 - https://cms-images.i...301558-orig.jpg

Comparing the cutscenes from bioware's latest games to these, and you'd think they were released years ago, both in terms of ingame graphics and cutscene-graphics.
So i wonder, what exactly is going on when such a prominent company (well they used to be) is suddenly stuck in progress
compared to other developers who seemingly has no problems keeping up with the pace of technology.
A valid question.
