gameplay != combat. Pretty much every other facet of the game (aside from endless fetch quests), including gameplay like exploration, is great.

Is the exploration great? I understood that the world LOOKED pretty, but graphics!=gameplay, either. Aside from being huge, what I have seen is that the areas are widely empty except for the occasional cardboard NPC and respawning trash mobs. There aren't hardly any non-quest locations, dungeons or areas to explore... is there?

You want me to provide an analysis on Star Wars fictional physics to prove how the Force works in the movies?

I'm not committed to doing that.

Facts - Yoda, Obi Wan, Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader and The Emperor are five of the strongest force users in all of Star Ware canon.

Of those, only the Emperor was able to use force lightning. And when used, it was less powerful than a taser (one could still talk while being electrocuted).

Luke, one of the strongest Jedi ever, is unable to Force Pull his five pound light saber past certain mundane obstacles at points in the movies. The thought of him pile driving someone with the Force is silly.

Yoda, a master fighter and Force acrobat, could jump three, maybe four times his height. Star killer is seen flying, leaping and flipping to lengths seen by superheroes.

When the movies have being able to weakly choke someone as one of the most powerful moves you can do, then you can't help but look at a game like TFU and laugh.

All of that is meaningless. That's like saying "Chuck Yaeger, the best pilot in the world, only flew 660 MPH! Planes can't possibly go faster than that."

The variables in development of the object in question (engines, midichlorians) determine the power, not the fact that someone else wasn't as strong.

It really doesn't look all that "great." Looks good, not great.

I had a lot of fun just exploring the terrain. I'd head towards a quest marker and see an odd statue of a wolf in the distance off another direction, so I went to look at it.

it wasn't interaction, but it was observation. And I found that enjoyable.

And I'd say it does a whole lot to flesh out, and create, Dragon Age lore. You encounter Avvar, for example.

TFU states in the Dark Side ending that Starkiller was equal to Darth Vader in power. Equal, not superior. Vader was weaker than Yoda, Luke was equal to Vader, Obi Wan was weakest of them all (but still extremely powerful and skilled). EDIT: And the Emperor was the strongest of all of them.

I'm completely indifferent to this entire topic. I mostly just headcanon everything anyways. That's why I can go back and play Baldurs Gate and not even notice the dated graphics compared to a newer game.

Glitches are just an extra source of amusement. The more serious the scene the funnier it is, unless we're talking about game crashing bugs cause those get on my nerves.

...looks like you got me.

Here I would point out the obvious flaw made by writers in that statement (which was clearly made so as to not overshadow Vader) and that, in theory, this still does not disprove the idea that there is such power in The Force, but merely disproves Starkiller's case. But that piece of lore pretty much breaks my argument.

...and I'll point out that I mostly meant gameplay in my original statement (though I stand by my arguments). Compared to clicking a button and seeing Revan Force Push some mook, it's far more tactile to push yourself, in any direction.

Edit! Something I just thought of: in the beginning of TFU, you play as Vader...and he's doing all of the top-level moves that Starkiller can do by the end of the game (in my opinion, a pretty great way to tease the player with high level abilities). So one could claim that Vader DID have these powers...

Best way to go.

I couldn't care less about graphics.

Aesthetics is a different' thing.

Good video on it.

Hah Sim understands perfectly! :3

And here I was debating going in a spiel about graphics versus aesthetics myself, turns out there was no need :P

I stick by my previous statement in another thread where I likened you to some old hermit which you can't tell if he's just crazy, or the wisest mofo out there (or a bit of both)

Weaving seamlessly between perversion and wisdom XD

Perversion is definitely my strong point.

The worst part is normally I'd post an angry Sayaka gif as a response but I can't even do that without giving you more fuel X3

I had a feeling you'd wind up going here. I could quibble that Vader has a much slower/less powerful form of all these powers (no speed/jumping/acrobatics and weaker force lightning) but it would be splitting hairs. Truth is their powers are comparable... but then again, Vader isn't pulling space cruisers out of the sky, either. And since the movies are the ultimate canon, the limitations he is shown there should be viewed as the benchmark of what are his (and the Force's) limitations.

You should be on my side, Jimmy.

I'm a total, 100% Sokka advocate.

I think we should run in politics and turn the USA into the United Sokka of America.

Our policies?

Simple.

Everybody get a Sokka haircut and the minimum wage goes up by two dollars.

I'd point out that those have to do with Vader himself as a person. Is he every shown running in the movies? Acrobatics are simply not part of his "moveset," and I think in Starkiller's case the acrobatics actually complement the Force powers--so it's not like he's this weakling who relies on the force to do anything, but he's extremely capable with a lightsaber (or two), has high stamina, and has a decent amount of strength.

I wouldn't be surprised if Vader could pull space cruisers out of the sky.

As for your last sentence, again I disagree. You're saying that because at one time he was only so powerful, he could not have been more powerful another time. it doesn't add up. And for all we know, Vader spent post-prequel pre-main movie time doing Starkiller-esque stunts and that's what made him weak.

I don't think there's any hard and fast rule. it sounds like you're taking the movies as an implicit limitation while I require a statement to the same effect.

Edit: though to be honest it feels like we're going in circles.
