So I've found notes at her spot in Skyhold about an anti-aging potion and my inquisitor asked herself "why would she need this" something like that. Right after I found those notes I got her wyvern heart quest and i always thought they were connected with that guy she's trying to save (or kill whatever)....untill I took her in the fade with me and the demon was taunting Vivienne, saying does she really think she can bring back the circles..at her age. Vivienne then replies "not a word"

Woah what!!?? Has she been expanding her lifespan with potions and if so exactly how old is she? I just found this to be very interesting and curious. Will we find out more about this or what? I mean that sounds pretty heavy.

Not only do I want to unravel this mystery but I want to know if BW survived his joining (if you give him to the Grey Wardens) and Solas omg. I need closure lol

A well-preserved 40-year old?

Wynne looked quite good despite being even older, and not due to the spirit.

Maybe using magic helps the body staying healthy?

Magic - It's good for you. ;)

Vivienne is IMO in her late 40s at the earliest. She's had to have become First Enchanter in Montsimmard. That doesn't happen overnight. She had to seduce her doddering Duke lover. That takes time too.

She might be as old as the Duke of Ghislain. He looked to at least be in his early 60s, though since he was also deathly ill when the Inquisitor meets him...perhaps that just a side effect of the disease he had.

Assuming the Duke was as old as he looked, either Vivienne was involved with a much older man (certainly possible) or she was close to the same age and preserving a relatively youthful appearance through magic.

If you take Vivienne into the fade the nightmare demon will mention her age as her fear (implying that she is too old to get another duke lover)  so I reckon she's in her late 40's or perhaps 50's

Uh, I would've said late 30s/early 40s meself. They do stress that she was the youngest First Enchanter in like... ever. And she seems like the kind of lady who'd stress about her age before it's actually warranted. Then again maybe she's 78 because Leliana is rapidly approaching middle age status and she looks 23.

Alistair looks completely freaking different. But marysueliana stays the same, actually looks even better, without the help of spells or potions.

Nothing but the best for marysueliana.

If you take her into the Fade, the demon says something like "what if the Circles are never reinstated, what would a First Enchanter do at your age?" Considering that Orsino was grey-haired, and Irving looked elderly, I think she must be a lot older than she looks.

Plus, her Duke is an old man. At first I thought it was a May-December romance thing, but perhaps she's simply aged better than him (through magic concoctions).

Too old even for Shepard to bang.

And that's saying something, considering Shepard can hit up Liara, who's over a hundred.

Nah I bet shes another Flemeth and she's like centuries old. Ok that was a bad comparison, like Flemeth as in way older than she should be like dead old lol. She's definitely stopping her aging by magical means, question is how long has she been doing this...hhmmm...she appears to be middle aged but things aren't always what they seem, there is...more than meets the eye.

Old enough to be a pain in my damn ass.

As for the youth potion. I believe she made it to make the Duke young again. Thus Vivienne can leech off him some more.

I thought that for a bit too but it becomes very clear that in his current position and the position Viv find herself in that his death would serve her better. And the Inquisition, but I'm pretty sure that's more of a side-effect.

I think she's really in her 40's.  I know it's a boring answer, but it fits.  She was supposedly young when she met the Duke (who was already in his position).
