Stoneskin last for too short in my SOZ game. I succeed to save my games prior to re-installation, could this be bug?

Can you be more specific? Does it run off only when you use Ironskin Chant, while you're in combat, transitioning to the overland map, or something else? What's your caster level?

I'm caster level 5 (level 10 total). I was fighting yuan ti in SOZ chapter 1. I stayed in the same room, just stoneskin wore off too suddenly. Some of other buffs remain, some wore off.

Stoneskin only lasts as long as it takes your opponents to hack through it, which at 50HP against a pile of YT probably won't be too long.

Yes, but YT didn't even reach my party. I end up fighting spider, then just as buffs wore off here comes YT.

Does Ironskin chant remove stoneskin?

it might. I wouldn't know without testing. But i did look at the code. They both use the same 'effect' and when applying the Bard's chant ( which includes that effect ) it either

(a)refreshesSpellDuration if the chant is already active, or
(b) applies a linked effect if not. (i'm thinking, This might overwrite the Stoneskin damage-reduction, whatever spellID it came from)


either way I don't think its really a bug, rather something player has to figure out & deal with.

and, as noted by Ark and Thor, beware of SoZ area transitions as well as heavy hitters like Yuan-ti; they remove Stoneskin fast, as might your Bard by bringing up an Ironskin chant,

I was able to won the fight, with just a few buffs. I planned to buff my part, but my timing gone bad. But it wasn't very hard, especially after my casters trow some damaging spells.

 

It also possible YT dispelled some of my buffs, I remember when I watched gameplay video.

There's one thing... You need at least 7 levels in a casting class (druid, wiz/sorc, cleric with earth) in order to cast Stoneskin.

Anyway, dispel is a possibility, yes. Also, I remember having the occasional issue some time ago with Stoneskin not always working correctly when having gear with damage reduction equipped. I've also heard of some bug when paired with Mirror Image, though I don't remember the details. So while I can't confirm whether Iroskin Chant messes it up, I wouldn't discard the possibility.
