go to the other side and I believe there is a large rock with a slope leading upward. The slope on the rock is a bit slippery, so I had to jump the whole time to get to the top. At the top, follow around to the right and you should be able to find a spot to jump down to reach the shard

Thanks! I did it. In fact, I'd already tried that slope. Boy is that hard to hit without falling off! That shard is way harder to reach than the others on the Plains.
