I played DA 2 (almost didn't finish it, it was so bad).

I played Mass Effect 3 (unfortunately, I DID finish that one)

After those two horrid games (for very different reasons) I swore NEVER to buy another Bioware game ever again.  No intention to buy DA:I at all.

Then, people whose opinions I trusted said the game was great...so I bought it last week.

I now sit with 35 hours invested in the game...with a broken inventory that will never allow me to pick up any item in the game ever again, and will force my character and the rest of my party to (attempt to) finish the game without ever getting new weapons or armor.

And THAT'S why I'm stupid.

Never another dime of my money, Bioware/EA.  Never.

Have you tried making new save files? If you're not making enough save files, no wonder your game is so glitchy. Most bugs reset when you reload them.

Try the "sell all" option in a vendor maybe?

Marauder Shields tried to save you. The rest of ME3 was compelling, minus one bad guy's lame plot armor, and that's why the ending was so frustrating in the end, it didn't mesh well with the rest of the game. A better prologue probably would've helped bring back the player's sense that all their choices through the games had actually had an impact... as it was, it seemed a little limp for what was otherwise a strong game franchise. All that said, the multiplayer was amazing for ME3... so it was 85% great, 15% disappointing. Not something to stop buying games for.

DA2 wasn't so bad in my opinion. It didn't show you as much of Thedas as DAO, and there wasn't as much choose your own adventure, but it was a fun action game. It wouldn't have generated the same kind of interest for the franchise if it had come out first rather than DAO, but it wasn't terrible, it just wasn't amazing, and it wasn't a seventy hour experience like DAO.

No he's right. ME3 MP might have been fun, and the game amazing, but that ending capped off the trilogy in way that ruined it for a lot of people. Enough that EA was named the worst company in America! That ending ruined it for me too.

As far as I'm concerned the Indoctrination Theory was the ending.

Oh, and I also won't spend money on an EA/Bioware game again. The reason I'm not playing my swtor account while I wait for this to be fixed is because I won't hand $$$ to these fuckers for a stop gap while I wait for the game I already paid for to work.

Sorry, but that's the stupidest thing I've read in recent memory. If I don't save enough I should expect a game to glitch to the point of being unplayable? You ****** kidding me? What, in the name of Zues' butthole, would cause a game to stop working if you don't save enough? I've seem some truly gymnastic fanboy rationalization for the sorry state of this game...but that takes the ****** cake.

Also, I save after every battle...wait, was that TOO much saving? How silly of me. How could I ever think that a game could function correctly if I'm saving al the time?

So this isn't a bug on Bioware's fault it's the user fault for not saving enough? Interesting thinking there. Do you work for EA?

Your reaction to his "fanboy" post is indicative of your intent.

Because...from what I read, it looked like he was just trying to offer advice.  It's not "fanboy" anything.  It's common sense.  Any game nowadays should be saved consistently or you risk losing data/data corruption.

Feel free to stop buying games on the sole basis of one of the most common problems in gaming.  That's completely sound reasoning.

Well, I don't know on what support he is playing but my copy is a mess that gets more and more buggy each time I try to restart the game. I'm at a point I can't even do the throne trial without the black loading screen of the death. What is the replay value of a game that gives you more bugs each time you start again? Zero. Absolute and total zero.

And I understand him about the inventory : In the first map of the game, you can found powerful armors you will keep for almost half the game. First part it will keep place in your inventory because the levelcap made it useless. Next part you will use it and most of the armors you found later are crap.

In most RPGs you have the classical Village-> shop -> new stuff -> dungeon -> new stuff -> new village... But here, the cycle is brocken. Limited inventory combined with massive loot (with lot of poor quality one) gives a lot of frustration, especially when the good stuff is ultra-rare.

I suffered too of the poor ending of ME3 and I'm with you! (If you follow ME lore, an Mass Relay explosion is massive, so Shepard has destroyed the Earth and all the Victory Fleet! What a great hero, yeah!)

Only if it shows both my PC and PS4 versions of the game so that everyone knows my opinion is automatically more valid than their silly one-copy opinion.

Unless that's not how it works and all opinions are valid.  Can anyone confirm/deny this?

Thank the maker that I have this addiction of saving my games (clean save, not quick) every so often. I am getting nervous about getting rejected due to the limitation that people are complaining over.

You're taking my comment out of context. What I meant is that is a well known temporary solution that making new save files solve a lot of the glitches from this game. Now pull out that stick of your ass and relax a little.

I can confirm that an opinion that has no basis on experience is conjecture.  Not opinion.

Thereby, the desire to prove one owns the game.  Not some shoddy cracked version.  (can only imagine how terrible the bugs would be...)

I don't understand the whole, ME3 was great until the last 10 minutes thing, honestly.  The entire game was a let down, from the overhear-to-receive fetch quests, the lack of ME2 squaddies, Thane+Jacob, the auto-dialogue, and the whole plot of Crucible-awfulness.

I bought DAI knowing that it was going to be a time-killer at best, and I wasn't disappointed there, at least.  It's been entertaining, and I liked some of the characters, but the gameplay is awful, the controls are ridiculous, the ladies are left hanging again, the loot is lacking, the crafting is annoying, the AI is more like Ant-Intelligence than Artificial Intelligence, etc etc etc.  I had the money to buy it at the time and I've played it enough to get my money's worth, though it could have been a lot better.

Not buying ME4 till it hits the bargain bin though :)

There really wouldn't be any more bugs in the cracked version.  That's like saying the furniture inside of a house must be tacky because someone kicked the door in instead of unlocking it with the key.

It's possible to have an opinion on a game without playing it.  You can watch literally every minute of DAI on YouTube.  So right there you can at least have an opinion on the story, the same way you would have an opinion about a movie after watching it.

You can even also have an opinion about the gameplay from watching videos; perhaps not on how the controls feel, but definitely about how it flows.  If you watched a video of Dragon Age 2, for instance, and saw that enemies appeared from the ceiling magically, you could certainly have the opinion that such a gameplay mechanic was silly.  You can form an opinion about the art style from a single screenshot.

I read these forums, the Dragon Age subreddit, as well as various other gaming forums, and I've personally never seen anyone mention a bug that prevents them from looting new items.  It seems highly unlikely the the OP has never played the game and just made that particular complaint up on the spot.  It's even more unlikely when you consider that there are so many posts on this forum one could extrapolate legitimate complaints from, should one for some reason want to complain about the game without having played it or having even watched a few videos about it.

Oh, look another man child that insults people that try and help him. He is correct by the way, reloading previous saves has been verified to fix various bugs in DA:I.

Marah,

Is your inventory full?  Things in Upgrades and Valuables take up space too so be sure to check what's in there.  When you get back to Haven/Skyhold, be sure everyone has the best weapon and armor, stop by the researcher's table and then sell everything in the weapons, armor, upgrades and valuables tabs.  Basically everything except the ingredents.  If you are playing Normal or Casual modes, you could sell them too since you can easily play the game with just drops and basic healing potions.

I haven't had the inventory thing, but I keep getting a bug where I can't change party members, which is great fun when you're playing a mage and need Varric to unlock a frigging door. The only way I've found to fix it is to save, exit the game, and restart it. Then it works fine. This only happens on the PC version (I have both PC and 360 versions), however.

I get that bug, too.  It's really annoying.  Sometimes it fixes itself if I wait long enough, but I usually quick save and reload.  I quick save all the time, so even if it happens in combat I can just reload and not lose progress.

As best I can tell, this bug happens when you try to loot and that floating camera dialog perspective comes up at the same time, so maybe try to watch out for that.  I'm sure it can happen in other scenarios, though.

An icon wouldn't tell if someone bought the game. I have ME2, Origins, ME3, and DA2. Don't have the icons under my name. Because I don't link account data. So even if we got an icon for DAI, you still won't know who actually bought the game.
